I think that, if any girl or woman told me she was going to sign up as a member of this archive, I'd tell her to disable private messaging right away, and maybe do a second signup with a male identity, if she wanted to chat (although I guess that's considered against the rules). If she wanted to talk to somebody directly through messaging, she could enable the messaging long enough to exchange email addresses or some other means of communication with the person. One of the disadvantages of having an open membership policy, is that every kind of predator (psychological as well as physical) can, and probably will, sign up.

I also wonder if the general tone of the archive might be a little friendlier to potential female members, if the raunchy avatars didn't show up right away when somebody accessed the message boards. I presume similar avatars are used in the chat room. There are less than a dozen rude avatars that show up with any regularity in the message boards, but only one is enough to make a certain type of impression on somebody who accesses the message boards for the first time. If I understand it correctly, there are already some restrictions on what avatars are acceptable--I think that avatars showing sex acts are prohibited. Possibly the coding for the avatars could be changed so that the default setting for the archive was to have the offensive avatars hidden, and then there could be a box that a user could check if he wanted all the avatars to be visible. Shouldn't take a whole lot of coding, since there is already a check box to hide all avatars.

Of course, a number of avatars might be objectionable to certain folks for other reasons. Kristoff's might be considered disrespectful to the regular clergy, and there might even be some Buddhists who would think Jesus' avatar represented a misuse of Buddhist iconography. Maybe there are fans of Marc Antony who would take offense at my avatar. But those avatars don't convey the same impression as the sexually suggestive ones.

I have had a few fellows ask me to get into some penectomy or castration fantasies. I find that once I tell them that I am not interested, they don't even bother to reply to my answer. Yoli here, back from another satisfying football experience...and totally pooped.

I've not been harassed here in the forums. In fact, I cannot recall receiving any annoying PMs either.

The Chat Room, however, was a different matter for me, Ash(leigh), and WOBG when she was here as FUBG. Most of the problem involved being pounced on, so soon as one of us logged in, by one of three or four individuals, a couple of which were outside the USA. It took perhaps a nanosecond after we logged in for them to light us up.

The "conversations" were ALWAYS the same each time and these were contributing factors in our decision to vacate the Chat Room on a permanent basis. The other "deciders", basically, were some fairly hostile accusations of being "guys in girl suits". Being asked for telephone contact was a problem too.

We made the decision with some reluctance, to be sure. I recall FUBG/WOBG saying she was becoming much attached to her "Uncle Wolfie", for example, and she missed Riverwind and IEunuch too. I pretty much agree that the loss was felt by all three of us, though less so by Ash(leigh), that cold fish!!! Actually, she is so darned, well, practical and pragmatic.

We did, for a while, engage a couple of our faves in EMail communication until WOBG closed that particular account for fear of who-knows-what. Since she pays for everything...still...so be it.

There was a seemingly nice guy who stated he lived here in San Antonio and was also a eunuch. It was so tempting to agree to meet with him and perhaps enlist him as a "featured attraction" and honored guest at our Kinky Kastration Koven meetings. Ash(leigh), of course, put the chill on that. He was never pushy, BTW, and I hope he is doing well.

Well, that's my take on the matter and I'm sticking with it!

I have been involved in this forum and the chat for a few years now and I have had my fair share of trolls and turds try to get me to do things.

Rule #1 NEVER agree to make phone contact

#2 if they make you feel uncomfortable tell a moderator or chat op

#3 PM's in the chatroom if permission is not asked just close the window

they'll get the idea eventually

I am usually quite amiable and willing to talk in the chatroom lobby since I feel the information is important but PM's from trolls and wankers not so much

I am surprised that so many who send me private messages or want to chat privately are more interested in "getting with me" because I am a eunuch. They have no idea what I look like or what I am about. Of course if they think I will passively serve them it would serve them right to meet me. One person from my state has PMed me several times asking the same question. I think I will post my picture in an avatar. That should end all the offers.
