Re: Truth and Lies
LIES?!? LIES? What lies?
"Read my lips: NO NUDE AXES!"
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky."
"I am not gay."
But the hum-dinger of all the lies I can remember was, "weapons of mass destruction, oh, wait, no, no, there was no WMD program, so it was the Al Qaieda connection, well.... there HAS to be a connection.... they are all Arabs. That's a connection, sure."

Re: Truth and Lies
There is a difference between being wrong and lying. All the people that jump up and down and accuse our president of "LYING" are intellectually dishonest and part of to problem with politics. As stated before, I'm NOT a fan of Bush, but I am a raving fan of the United States of America.
By the way, Hussain made a huge effort to make it look like he had a program so he would appear more threatening to his enemies. Let's be honest in our political discourse.

Re: Truth and Lies
Also, there was absolutely no reason Mr. Bush would have needed to cook a lie if he was just hell bent on invading Iraq. The violation of the articles of surrender of 1991 gave the US a legal right to resume the war thet Hussain started.
I know most people have forgot what 9-11 felt like. Most americans felt like we couldn't sit around and wait while threats gathered on the horizon. Iraq wasn't a base for Al-queda but Hussain was grantin safe haven and training areas for anti-american terrrorist. That's a hell of a connection for me.
It's funny the Dems are trying to make a mock case ti invade Pakistan and Iran right now. I say "mock" because they would absolutely shit if we did. General Musharaf is the closest thing to an ally in Pakistan and he is doing all he can do to repress the radicals and not have total civil war. If we roll into Pakistan it will be an all out war. It could turn nuclear too because we couldn't risk the Paki nukes falling into the wrong hands. We'd be forced to use the "Poalo Option".

I agree.
To lie, you have to be creative enough and smart enough to make up a believable lie.
I agree. George is too DUMB to lie.

Re: Truth and Lies
I disagree. That fucker is smart like a fox. He just doesn't have our interest in mind. For some reason, he wants to sell us out to the chinese and mexico. I'm sick of these new world order bullshit artists. It wouldn't be so bad if they ran on their NEW WORLD ORDER platform. Clinton was the same way, although he was more articulate.

I disagree. I think Bush is just like the rest of the politicians who twist the truth. It starts off as spin and winds up as twist, and some where in the middle it becomes a lie.

Re: Truth and Lies
But there is no proof that he lied about it. Just because Michael Moore and friends shout it a millions times, is irrelevant.
