Here's a weird question for those who are castrated: Does your employer know?
If so, what does he think of it? Does he actually think that you are a better employee due to being castrated, because you have a lower sex drive and have no chance of having children in the future?
Does your employer know that you're castrated?

Re: Does your employer know that you're castrated?
At my last job, which I exitted less than gracefully, my boss MORE than knew that I was having a bout of hormonal issues back in 98-99. I was having some SERIOUS pain and swelling back then, and it was EVIDENT that something was not right! Finally, I just came right out with it. The look on his face was priceless! While my balls were still attached to my body, they weren't doing a whole hell of a lot. Everyone noticed that I did undergo a personality change, then came the dreadful days of HRT in 99. To quote him, "I don't think I can handle having you and my son both here going through puberty at the same time." Then, about two months later, it was "You know, I liked you a LOT better when you didn't have male hormones." We had only one lady working there at the time, and she was all for the castration cure. In fact, her eyes would get all glazed over and her mouth would hang open when we talked about it. It was really quite disturbing, and it had the resident 'boy wonder' scared to death!

No. I had to use some sick leave, but was able to come up with cover stories. Nor have any of my co-workers said anything about any personality or physical changes in me. Some have noted my hot flashes, since I have to use a fan when they arrive, but I blow off their inquiries by saying this is a side effect of one of my prescription medications. None of their business, really.

I'm sticking with the same job for a while.
Five years ago I had to have a physical by the same doc I was working with. He was a good christian who was very complete in the exam. I was 28 at the time. After he had me completely disrobe, he checked me for a hernia. He suggested I have my prostate checked also, but I politely refused. Had my examiner been female I may have submitted to a more thourogh look-see. Many smaller hospitals use their own docs for physicals. In the future I'll just make up a story or get one of the archive.

They don't know. Why should they?
I paid for the procedure out of my own pocket, and used personal time off for the days I missed.
Hopefully, my sex drive (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with my job performance, although I acknowledge that for some, it could.
Being heterosexual, and working in a field with 90%+ male population, workplace distractions really aren't an issue for me.
No physical changes yet for people to notice.
The only ones that know are my wife, Dr. Spector and staff, my personal physician, and all of you!

Re: Does your employer know that you're castrated?
My employer knows but doesn't seem to care. Some of my co-workers know, some don't. I cannot see any difference in the way I've been treated before and after, although there are some who wonder if my running up three flights of stairs two steps at a time (I'm 63) while my boss (34 and a former college basketball player) pleads with me to slow down could possibly have something to do with my being a eunuch. I don't know the answer to that one myself, but I HAVE to use the stairs, and any other form of exercise I can find to keep my weight down.:tongueout

Hey, same boat. Gained 10 pounds over the holidays and I think the deal is simple. You can indulge during the holidays if you watch what you eat the rest of the year.
The bullsh*t about eunuchs being fat is, in my opinion, mostly folklore. If a person is overweight, as many Americans are according to the Surgeon General, then the drill is to eat properly and exercise more.
I don't think it has anything to do with being a eunuch.
I know lots of eunuchs who are slim and trim. Then I know lots of other folks who are slim and trim. The slim and trim folks eat properly and exercise.
WOW the purpose and meaning of life.
