I liked where we could have profiles, vote, and other things under a user name in the Eunuch Archive's main page. Also is the old chat software still usable?

What chat software did you use?
Older ones that were IRC clients like Pirch98, probably not, because modern anti-virus programs will tear them to bits.
There are still occasional polls on the front page. Talula used to come up with these regularly. Perhaps if members have ideas, submit them to IE for posting as a poll???
You still have a user profile; others can read it. It's just personal ads that are gone.
And what OTHER things?
Always open to suggestions. (Especially when I don't have to write the code to run it!)

Yes, we do have polls on the front page. If you want them changed more often, SUGGEST SOME. I'm more than happy to change them weekly, if I get enough suggestions to do so.
Any 'real' IRC program should be able to get into the chatroom. Personally, I use mIRC, but which one you use is up to you. From the java side, we only really have the one interface, and unless there's a mass call for a different one to be added, I'm not sure it's going to change.
As for the personals...
YES THEY WILL RETURN. That is, once the program to handle them is written. This is the hard part, as I'm not a programmer. If you would like them to return sooner than we can manage with our volunteer base, you are most welcome to donate the thousands of dollars needed for me to hire someone to custom-design software for us.

Well I did mean to cause a bunch of shit, but yes I to do think you guys have done alot for nonprogrammers, a+ java and others and I really like the look. just want to see what older things might be brought back since the crash a couple of years ago. Great Job and thanks

As you all know, I've been hanging in and out of here for several years. We're all a few years older now... and much, much closer to actually having our surgery.
Is there any way we can have a place to post photos? Yes, we know that BME is our host, and that's their business. But maybe, beyond our aviatars, can we have a place to put up a small photo or two?
