Catheter

Post by evolver (imported) »

Hi everyone :)

I have a couple of questions about catheters ...

First I want to know that anyone used this before and

what their experiences was.

I want to use them as a primary control tool.

To let not my body to do his thing but I or someone else should be

control it.

How do you got them? Internet or pharmacy??

Health // Nursing shop?

Does anyone know how to get them in Belgium, East-Flanders province?

Is it wise to use a DIY cath? I would use a very flexible plastic tube.

With a diameter of 3mm (9 french)

Which I would sterilise first with rubbing alchohol ofcourse.

Ps. Is this message is posted in wrong forum, moderator, please move this thread.

PPS. Sorry if I might offend someone.

Having inserted hundreds of catherters here is what I can tell you. First you do not want a home made catheter. The risk of infection can be a problem if the catheter is not sterile. I do not know if material used in a home made catheter could withstand enough heat or the chemicals needed to steralize it. Also if the chemicals used to kill the germs remain on or in the material it may cause irritation.

You may be able to buy catheters at a pharmacy that sells home care supplies. I did not check your profile but this information applies to males. You would need either a 16 or 18 french catheter. They need to be stiff enough to pass through the prostate and long enough for the balloon to be in the bladder. The balloon holds the catheter in place and needs to be in the bladder when inflated with sterile water. A size 9 catheter would not be long enought to reach the baldder. Inflating the balloon in the urethra would be painful and harmful. You also have a choice in size of balloons. They are usually either 5cc or 30cc balloons. The 30cc would be better for the control you are looking for. A smaller balloon (5cc) could allow the urine to leak out around the catheter due to pressure.

Once the catheter is inserted you need to keep your penis clean to prevent infections. When a foreign body is inserted it is a pathway for germs. Twice a day you need to use soap and water to clean the head of your penis and the catheter. A little antibiotic ointment on the area where the catheter enters the penis will help cut down the risk of infection and the petroleum base will melt and soothe any physical irritation.

Not only do you have a choice in sizes and balloon capacities you also want to make sure you do not buy a catheter with a third branch for using irrigants. The catheter should have a center hole for urine drainage and a port to inflate the balloon. Straight catheters do not have a balloon so they will not stay in place. Also a cath with a coude tip requires some skill with insertion.

It is natural to have irritation when urinating the first few times after the catheter is removed and is not a symptom of infection. If the irritation becomes worse or continues for more than a few times urinating you may have an infection. Also if your urine becomes cloudy or gunky looking you could have an infection.

I hope this helps.

I have found Catheter play to be fun. In the past I used to use home made sounds, and a tube for a temporary catheter. Then one time i used the piping and in my sexual lust forgot to sanitize it. I wound up with an infection. The first time i peed afterwards felt like i had just had the afterwards in me, but every subsequent time in the restroom the pain felt more intense rather then less as it should have. I've forgotten if it was the next day or the day after when I went to the Dr. After a very awkward conversation I was given antibiotics.

The main things ive learned form this is just how sensitive the body is to learned beneath our protective skin. I will never use a improvised instrument in my urethra again. Sanitation during any sort of play is a far bigger point for me, and to go to the Dr early on as soon as you think there may be a problem so that it can be stoped before it become a bigger mess.

It took almost 2 years before I trying any sort of play in my urine tract again. Ive only done so once, and that was with a catheter kit I bought off Amazon that came in a sterile package.

I am now more afraid of a urinary tract infection, or any infection really. Then of mistakenly destroying my cock and or balls.

but good luck be safe and you should be fine =)

There is no fun involved in burning could-I-please-pass-a-hot-coal-instead urination. At least not for me. :D Both times I've been catheterized I got infections.

Poor sterile technique and poor aftercare once you have an indwelling catheter is to blame. I never gave anyone an infection, well not in the hospital. LOL Not ever actually.

I had inserted caths for about ten years when a new nurse reminded me it was a sterile technique. I hit myself in the forehead with the heel of my hand and said "duh that explains it. I lick the tip (of the cath) before inserting like I was threading a needle". The nurses that had worked with me for years fell about the place laughing and the new nurse stormed off.
