Can androcur or the generic cyproterone acetate reduce or eliminate my libdo and morning erections? If so approximately how long does it take at 50mg a day?

yes and yes, it depends on your body. Some people have complete elimination at small doses and others have to take 150mg a day. its recommended you start small and work up after about 2-3 weeks if no effect.

I concur (as if it were needed). Mine ended when I upped the dosage to 50 mg, or one whole tablet.

Have you noticed any change in bodyhair or body shape? Are you able to get an erection at all on 50mg/day? I may switch to androcur after 3 months on DP and proscar.

I'm doing a very slow, incremental dosage that started 4 months ago with 25mg. I upped to 50mg 2 months ago, and started 75mg this week.

I bear the stigmata of masculinity (I'm hairy like an ape), but since I began the treatment the hair on my back and arms is thinning out. Also, the male pattern baldness on my head has completely filled in. It 30 years for me to loose my hair and 4 months to get it back. I'm still getting used to that.

My body shape is the same and have not had any ill side effects whatsoever. I've been on effexor (an antidepressant) for 4 years so if my lowered testosterone has had any ill effects, it may have been short circuited by my other meds.

As for erections, I had a few last month so that is why I've upped my dosage another 25mg (well that, and still trying to rid myself of lust). She hasn't said anything,... yet! I've not told her anything about what I've been taking, but I did have to go out and buy some Rogaine so I could explain the hair. She never even mentioned the hair until my parents visited and my Dad pointed to my head and said, "You're growing hair! How did you grow hair?" That's when I whipped out the Rogaine.

I am curious about what will happen when she finally does realize that I'm no longer interested in getting in her knickers. I hope to post a story about that when (and if) it happens.
