Today, Dr. Alice Dreger, a professor of medical ethics at Northwestern University, brought a new novel to the attention of the sex research community. First Person Plural, by Andrew Beierle, explores the lives of a pair of conjoined twins. They have separate heads and necks and two separate spinal columns joined to a common pelvis. Each head controls one arm and one leg. While incredibly rare, this is real type of twinning. The second link below a blog about the novel includes a photograph of one very real set of such twins. The first link below is to a posting of the first chapter of the novel.
What makes Beierles novel of interest to sexologists is that one of the twins is straight and the other is gay. They feud over the use of their common penis and testicles. Dreger points out that the only complexity that might be MORE difficult for them to come to terms with would be if one of the twins were t/g.
Im sure that one of the creative authors here on the Archive can properly explore that alternative. There is already a documentary about one such set of NON-conjoined twins Red Without Blue (http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=11301).
Alternatively, what if one twin wanted to become a voluntary eunuch and the other did not....

Re: First Person Plural
I think both would make a great story or even a great movie. However although it is serious topic, I have only scene it dealt with as comedy, as in 'The Man With Two Brains'
There was also a blaxploitation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blaxploitation) film called 'The Thing with Two Heads' (http://imdb.com/title/tt0069372/)
To write it as a drama would be very challenging.
