What's with Androcur ?

Post by Jankat (imported) »

Hey, I'd like to say hi to you all as this is my first post as member here :)

I've been interested in this castration subject for many years and wanted to become an eunuch as long as I know..

I've began with some natural treatments first(saw palmetto etc.) but they seemed to do nothing but make me have even more T.

Now I've started using Androcur at 100mg but I really worry if this is going to do the trick, it's been 4-5 days since I started using it but nothing has changed, I have my libido even increased and I dont have any problems getting an erection(with only a touch :D).

Should I increase the dosage or keep trying at this level for more time ?

And whats worse is I seem to have some hairloss problems, its still at early stages but I want to stop it to prevent further loss..

I heard elimination of T from body does the trick pretty much and most eunuchs keep what they have for many years, but my question is will chemical castration(Androcur) be enough to freeze my T levels at a point where very little DHT is formed(surg. castration levels) thus not effecting my hair..

Or should I try another drug for it, and maybe surgical castration to solve everything at once :D

Thank you..

It takes weeks before the effect of Androcur will emerge. Androcur (cyproterone acetate) fools the brain that there are enough of T in your blood and slows down production. But this takes time.

I started out with a T level of 13 (normal range 13-40) and after several months of Androcur up to 300 mg a day I reached as lowest 4,5

I still could have erections and orgasms, although very flat.

Decapeptyl (Triptorelin) on the other hand is a far much better drug, becuase it actually shuts off the T production almost totally.

Using it last year I was down on a T level about 1. Which is a pre-pubertal level aswell as a castration level.

You can't get to zero, even with removing the testes because the "bi njurar" whatever that is in english (I am swedish) will still produce some.

So be patient and wait. And if you're not satisified after 2 months try Decapeptyl or get an orchiectomy, if you are really sure.

I would recommend trying Decapeptyl for at least a year first though.

Androcur has a typical "loading" time of 2-3 weeks. It takes that long for the drug to build up enough in your system to be effective. Many people start these things and are impatient, or have such heavy demands of the drug that their expections can never be met.

Androcur can and will get you down to castrate levels. You will never be completely androgen free; just pretty close. Remember, even eunuchs can still get an occasional erection and can still have sexual interests. The difference is, such things occur at a greatly reduced level, if experienced at all.

Patience. Follow the directions of the packaging inserts with the drug, or ask questions of the less strident, more experienced folk here who have used the stuff.

So do you believe my T levels will come to castration levels using this drug, I'm asking because I don't like injection drugs much..

And I still wonder about my 2nd question too, will I be keeping my hair the same as surgical castration with chemical stuffs(such as Androcur, and the one meramums mentioned), and will this dosage(100mg) be enough for it ?

I really hate hairloss problems as I hate my balls too :D

Jankat,

Please be patient and do not augment your dose!

Take your time and read some on this forum. You will see that every one that had a run on androcur had to wait at least 2 weeks. It will work, just be patient.

Regarding your second question. I do not have an immediate answer. But as far as I know, you will not lose hair (on your head) with androcur, on the contrary.

Me too, I had an (short) androcur test. You may look for my posts on that subject.

Take care.

Vesal!
