Thank You Mrt. It was a shocker for me that the Low-T was involved.

I have low T and get pissed off frequently at "ignoranuses".

When I had both of my testicles I think I was more "at peace". With one testicle and 10 mg of Androgel daily my blood results of T still fluctuate, but that is all influenced by the other meds for High blood pressure and cholesterol,by the diet,by the alcohol intake and stress and excercise.

It is very complex chemistry.

I talked to my doctor, just yesterday and he assured me that my intake of androgel is safe. I checked my only ball and it looked the same to me as when I was at the pre-surgery stage two years ago. However,it is still scary what happened. I do not know much about wrestling or weight lifting, even my body still looks "buffed'for my age from just light exercise in the past and now watching my diet, thanks to reading, bad experience with American health care system and Paolo's input.

I have a question: how much of T a healthy testicle produces daily compared to the gel substitute. H.:-\

First remember I'm just a "patient" I'm not a doctor so take everything I say as just opinions based on books I've read, the internet and talks with my md. In your situation your Androgel is providing all your T. The connection between your brain and the remaining testicle is shut down. What happens is the body sees the Androgel and dials down the testicular production. So, if you add a tiny amount the brain might shut down your testicle a tiny amount. At 10 gm I would have to say the shutdown is complete (Or very close) You may not notice any atrophy. Or it may be subtle and take years. Frankly given a choice between big testicles and not enough hormones or shrinking ones and healthy levels? I'll take the tiny testes thank you.

If your Doctor put you on Androgel this is because the remaining testicle was unable to supply a healthy level. And if you do some reading you will find this is often the case.

BTW I agree! Androgel is safe. So if HRT. And long term I think this is the best thing for guys with our type of problem.

If your on HRT please do have regular checkups with PSAs and the DRE exam. I really don't think HRT causes prostate cancer but if you already have it the HRT can make it worse faster. Also - please have hormone panels done at the same time. And insist on Estrodiol (e2) be included. This can become an issue for any guy taking HRT. And if it happens you want to address it because it will feel like your not on HRT with all the consiquences of that.

Food for thought - do I get angry at stupid people because I have high or low tesosterone? Stupidity really gets me going (i.e. road rage when another driver does something dangerous and unnecessary). Now that I am down to one testicle, I'll have to take note of my reactions in the future.

I could have low T naturally due to aging, but somehow, I don't think so because I had a very strong sex drive until recently. Now sex seems less exciting although I can still get aroused and service the wife. (Yeah - I used the word "service" - 42 years of screwing the same woman can be boring at times....):D (But not every time.)

You will certainly continue to get upset by such things, regardless of your hormones status. However, as a eunuch, you will likely notice that this would not bother you near as much as before. The degree and frequency of the anger experienced will also decline (though by how much, is highly variable on a personal level).

Sounds good to me. Thanks. I guess I'll find out!

Actually, I heard that he had a very high level of testosterone and not a low one.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I don't think so.

I don't think it was clear what he was taking. It may well be that some other non T steroid was involved providing the effect of roid rage but not showing in the T levels directly. Is this possible?

On the other hand it may well have been part of his personality?? Or maybe fried brain cells from previous bouts with exess steroids?? Or cumulative brain damage from all the beatings that wrestlers take?? Whatever, it was a real tragedy and I would be surprised if the steroids did not have some contribution.
