The anal area generally darkens at the time of puberty under the influence of sex hormones. Fascination with anal bleaching is probably related (and is more of an extension of) to the widespread fixation on anal-genital shaving practices in order to attain a more "pre-pubertal" look, I suppose.

Well, now I've seen/heard everything.

Of course, I asked Ash(leigh) if she'd thought MINE needed bleaching

We both tend toward pink rather than brown...whew!
