Helencol, PLEASE, PLEASE listen to Kangan, Uncle Flo,and tanglog that there is a safer alternative to all this. I really think that doing this by yourself is counter-productive to what you maybe trying to achive as a ultimate goal.
So be very careful here, again please. Christie

Re: Helen's Odyssey
It has resolved itself by "accident". Friday I had awful pain in my right side and was taken to hospital for appendicectomy. Surgeon noticed bruising from banding and in private I told him all. Not easy. He arranged for me to see urologist and psychotherapist Monday while still in hospital, as it was the weekend. I saw both yesterday (Monday) and urologist felt there was a danger of gangrene, though no sign of it and decided to castrate me under local anaesthetic as I'd had general on Friday. It was all hidden by green curtain and after an hour on vallium aswell this afternoon. He left the scrotum while a decision is made on m2f transfer. Very sore tonight, but allowed use of laptop.

Ditto that! A hospital setting is always the best way to go. Although many try to do it themselves, the outcomes are very very risky.

How did you access the Internet with your laptop in that hospital?

Most major hospitals now have accessible wi-fi connections for patients and families - at least all of them do in Minneapolis / St Paul area, as well as many others I've gotten to in the upper midwest.
