Gambling ?

Post by incuse (imported) »

So I was gambling today at the casinos and won $26 bucks on the Hot Flashes slot machine (http://www.igt.com/GamingGroup/Games/ga ... 17&pl=#cnt).

I know, I know, $26 bucks. But, considering it was a penny machine I did pretty good. Made my day.

See what a little bit of screwed up hormones will do for you? 😄

When I was last in Vegas, I felt fortunate to win $10 in nickles.

I spent many hours playing poker in my youth. I love a good card game, esspecially if there is money involved. I often came out ahead, unless I was having an off night. I've never been to a casino, don't think I would like it much. I don't bet unless I have a very good chance of winning. 🚬

I the words of Meyer Lansky, mob boss with a number of casinos in Cuba, once told one of his employees, "The only way to win is not to play."

Better be careful, gambling...what!?

I know a whole country who gambled by voting a man called George W. Bush into the presidency and NOW you see what has happened...

I've always thought of lotteries and casino gambling as a tax on the mathematically challenged.

It works out for me. I spent $21 bucks, won $26. So I was ahead $5. Ate a free buffet and gave the waitress a $2 tip.

Bally's will give a free buffet that is normally $13.95 as long as you have a players card with a tiny bit of play on it.

The boil shrimp were well worth me coming home $3 ahead. :)

BTW, Last week I did the samething and I came home $8 ahead. Even if I lose my $20 it ain't to shabby for the free buffet.

In Louisiana, we have legal casino gambling. I don't find it attractive, but I do enjoy the restaurants. The noise in the casinos bothers me. I think that the machines are ugly. I think that I would enjoy blackjack. I used to play it without gambling. Poker is over my intellectual skill level.

I think that gambling on horseracing would appeal to me. I avoid the tracks--never been to a horse race. The lotteries are sucker bets, but I do play for the fantasy. I mean that one in 137,000,000 chance! A drop of water in all the swimming pools in L.A.
