What a stoke of luck

Post by Slammr (imported) »

I've just received great news by email. Some guy I never heard of in the UK has died and decided to leave me his entire fortune of $8,100,000. All I have to do is provide them with my address, phone number, social security number, and bank account information, and they'll deposit the money into my account. Tomorrow, when I go to work, I'm going to tell them, "Take this job and shove it." Hallelujah!

It's not worth it. By the time you've paid the inheritance tax, capital gains tax, value added tax and stamp duty, and paid the solicitor who's acting as the executor, you'll find yourself out of pocket. :)

Slammr:

I've heard about that incident. The man who died must have been a distant relation of yours.

I just never realized before that you were a Nigerian :P

Do I detect an air of scorn and derision, I can vouch for the validity of that email as it was I that sent it and what is more it was my will that bequeathed the monies in the event of my death. If I had known you were going to make fun of me I wouldnt have died. 😄

For $8,100,000 you could be my father as long as the paperwork was in order I'd still marry ya. LOL
