Comment about profile questions

PLEASE don't take this the wrong way, it's meant purely to bring up something which kind of bothers me. It's not massively important and, in many ways, it doesn't really matter but...

In the profile there are various questions, no-one is obliged to answer them but I wondered about one of them.

Please select the gender which currently best identifies you

is one of the questions. The options are : Male, female, androgynous, other.

I've put 'androgynous' because I wasn't sure what else to put.

Would there be any possibility of having a category which said 'third gendered' or 'agendered'?

I don't want to describe myself as 'other' but, OTOH, 'androgynous' isn't entirely right either.

I don't suppose it matters much but I just wondered about it?

Thank you for any response to this, like I said, I'm not over-bothered, but it's occurred to me a few times now and so I thought I'd ask.

I believe there's a little box below that that allows you to choose your own, in your own words that is. I know I had 'something-something' and 'rock star' in that box for a while. heh..

Oooh gosh, it seems to have changed!

When I looked yesterday it had the 'male, female, androgynous, other' options and the little box which tanglog is talking about was only available under the sexual orientation question if I remember correctly.

Today it offers male, female, androgynous, eunuch AND a little box that we can fill in ourselves instead if we wish.

Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet? Androgynous, asexual, and eunuch are not the same thing - or are they. I liked "other" as it left you guessing!:D
