Re: Family
Yes I have found this to be a great community besides where I go to drink my tea and relax with other friends.
And no, it's not right to refuse a couple to go to a dance especially nowadays.
But when it came to school dances where I was required to wear a jacket and tie, I simply couldn't and so I just skipped out. But that's me. --Had my invites from girls but still just couldn't. I Just didn't feel right and wasn't able to even picture myself like that. No proms for me. --Break dancing anyone?

For the most part, most in here people are not very judgmental and closed minded then the general population is. Last night the phone call that I was dreading happened. I was informed that Ralph (my life partner) and myself were not invited to my nice high school graduation. They do not accept me being gay. I can only imagine how the would feel if they know I was a eunuch as well.
What is there problem? Are they afraid you will give them boy germs? *I remember that from Grade school. Or I guess they are worried that you will convert them? Maybe they are not tight with being "Hetro enough"
I say send a burning bag of Dog shit to the "party"
I remember this girl who was picked out to have the "Worst Girl Germs" of all and all the kids ran around screaming they would get LL germs. I don't remember what I did other then not participate but she grew up to be a VERY attractive lady and I met her in some record store where she gave me the nicest kiss and told me thank you for not being a SOB. I also remember this kid thanking me for being the ONE guy who didn't beat him up? And another even more attractive young lady who told me how she was crazy about me because I stood up for her brother (Who I didn't really know) once. *Unfortunatly she admitted this when I had JUST gotten married.
Frankly I've NEVER understood High School reunions. I never attended my High School for any other reason other then that it was mandatory. I wonder if people out of Prison have Prison Reunions? I got my 30 year reunion notice in the mail and my reaction is "Why would I start now?" And then "Oh how sad it must be to have Peaked in High School!" The only people that I would really want to see or chat with I already do! There is one or two I would like to aim a well placed fist at...

Re: Family
I gave up on going to high school reunions because the only folks who came were the "Jocks" and the snooty cheerleader types. All the talk centered around how they used to cruise up and down the boulevard after school. What a bunch of losers....

I'm rather excited to go to my high school reunion.. Just the first one. By that time I'll be about two years post weight loss surgery and I'll look good as hell. I hope all those punks that gave me a hard time for being big fall all over themselves and choke on their drool. I'd like to show up in a black patent leather body suit with my slave on a leash with a diamond studded collar... That'll show those bastards.

Now that's a way to do a high school reunion.
I'd just want to have everyone's tires slashed and do some long-distance teeheeing. Is that so wrong?

I'd rather they be forced to conversate with me and know I'm the one behind their total embarrasment. Maybe I'll bring a little whip too... Just to ice the cake, eh?

Re: Family
Isn't it just possible that some of the folks who will turn up at the reunion are gay, and have hidden the fact for years? Another example of the human foible that treats what you look to be as the important thing, and not what you are. Somebody has commented that all of human life is a masquerade party.

Re: Family
Thank you for all the kind words and thoughts. Looking back, I question my wisdom in even making the post. It only affected Ralph, Matt and I. I do want to clear up some details. The problem is with my sister in law. As far as I can tell, it is she that is the root of all of this. She always seemed to have something to say about gays. In the past, I always thought it very strange how gays would come up in a discussion. Think she was trying to make me say something or say that I was gay. My family only found out for sure about 18 months ago that I had gay tendency.
Think the only people attending my nieces graduation party from my side of the family is my sister and her family. All of my sister in laws family live a good distance and do not think that they would travel that far. So that will leave people that I do not know and they do not know me. Will be school friends and neighbors attending the party. No one would have to introduce Ralph or Matt as being gay or living together. Two years ago, I attended my Brothers Masters degree party. I hardly talked to anyone (very normal for myself) and stayed of by myself. The same could have happened today. We sent a card and gift to my nice including that we would not be attending.

Re: Family
I am glad you posted about the graduation. Families should share sorrows and joys. Your eunuch family will always be there for both sorrows and joys. Of course we wish you only joys.
