How do I turn off the automatic subscription option?

I come here often enough to check if there any replies or hate mail (just joking) in my mail box, I don't need nor want an e-mail.

If you go in to your user control panel (User CP) and then in to options. you can turn it off in there, it will be under Default Thread Subscription Mode, and just set it to: no email subscription.
