Curious after reading board.

Post by Curious241 (imported) »

Hello, I'm Suzanne and like in England. I hope you don't mind me joining your message board, as I'm only here out of curiosity and probably won't post much. I saw the person on This Morning talking about voluntary castration and he mentioned this message board so I couldn't help having a read. I don't want you to think I came on here to preach or tell people what to think, as it's nothing to do with me, but I'm a curious person who likes to find out about things.

I have to admit I'm ignorant and haven't read the whole board.

Maybe it's my own problem and you might mind me asking and it's not my intention to offend anybody, but people seem to have various reasons for undertaking castration. I can understand why somebody might want to undertake this procedure but the message board seems so varied, as it goes from people who genuinely have their own reasons because they feel they should be that way, to those who have cancer, but what I have a problem (and it's my problem, so not saying others should have one) are those people are on here because they like perverted fantasises of being castrated (maybe perverted is the wrong word, but can't think of another). Would somebody who has fantasies of being castrated, in the way of just the act and not actually living castrated, fall onto the dark side and be more suited to some sex web site with other similar things? I'm far from a prude and everybody has a sex life with things they prefer and if somebody prefers sex being castrated then it's a genuine thing, but in my mind I can't connect fantasises of the actual act of being castrated with genuine medical, physical or physiological discussions so it turns the problems people might genuinely have into looking like something else.

Just that when I saw the man talking on This Morning, he seemed to dislike his oncoming masculinity and said he now sees sex as more of a loving thing than how he did before he had high testosterone levels, so I don't understand how people like that could have much in common with somebody who just wants to come online to talk about fantasises of being mutilated for sexual pleasure, but not really want the procedure, just the thought of the actual act of castration to get off or want to talk about it. Another thing is, there was a man on here who says he just wants to be castrated to gain weight because he wants to be so fat that he has to be an adult baby and not even wipe his backside. Why would anybody with genuine reasons for castration want people like that on the message board, as somebody like me who looks for the first time out of curiosity might think you're all like that and the whole reason for the site is just for things like that. Then again, maybe it's nothing to do with me and I shouldn't poke my nose in.

Another thing, I was wondering if they might repeat the channel 4 documentary on a digital channel some time such as E4 or more4? Just that with This Morning, they usually talk about it on the day it's going to be shown if it's on ITV but with other channels they talk about it after.

Curious,

First, as an active member (but not administrator) let me say I welcome your interest and your posting.

If you continue to read the various postings you will see that the Eunuch Archive has all sorts of members who are attracted to the concept of castration (voluntary in the board postings, not always so in the fantasy story boards) for a whole variety of different reasons. I for example have fantasies of being a woman (see my avatar), but realize that real castration isn't right for me and that I should stay in the world of fantasy in this regard. Others have actually gone through with it, again for a whole variety of reasons that I won't summarize because the best source of information is their postings on the board.

My main point is that even though the members of the EA are so varied -- straight, gay, actual eunuchs, fantasy-only-guys, men who want to be free of overpowering sex drives and fetishists (my case) etc., etc., our interest in castration makes this a suprisngly close family, with strong expressions of mutual support for posters who might appreciate receiving such. If nothing else given the interest TheFraj's dignified appearance on TV appears to have inspired in you, why don't you hang around a while and get to know all of us varied folks. You may also want to check out the story board. Some of these stories are pretty violent, but it's just fantasy, and will tell you more about this subject. I don't plan on being castrated myself because I don't think doing it in the world of reality (as opposed to fantasy) is "right" for me (though it certainly is for others) but I certainly welcome TheFraj's appearance as helping make clear to a wider public that elective castration is appropriate for some people and that they shouldn't have to cross the Atlantic to do it.

Everyone is free to post here as often as they wish, and I would welcome any response of yours to this message of mine.

Regards, Strassenbahn (German for "tram" (US English: "streetcar" or "trolley"; I'm not German, but I love trams and spent many happy years in Germany, where some tram systems still exist.)

C241,

The best advice I can give you is to read all the replies and feedback to any particular thread that you look into.

Yes, this is a very diverse group.

One man's perversion is another pleasure, to paraphrase the old saying about trash vs. treasure.

If you look around for a while, you'll soon see that there is MORE to the issue of eunuchism than any ONE reason you can come up with.

You mention a couple of posters at EA here, such as TheFraj's reasons which are blessedly becoming rapidly high profile, and then Obese_Sissy_Boy's reasons which some posters may find strange. But to each our own! This is a prime contrast to the interest in the subject that each of us has. Still others were of the cancer case, while others are indeed of the sexual fantasy case. Still others seek satisfaction of their partner through their own castration, while others seek a reduction of testosterone or a reduction in pain for various medical reasons.

Welcome to the boards, and I hope that your stay here is educational. You DO present valid questions, and I hope you stay around long enough to find the answers.

Thoughts, anyone else?

I am sure you will get many excellent replies to your question from the regular posters. No one can act as a spokesman to represent all the views of all who comes here, as you point out they are a very ecclectic mix. Your question did make me evaluate my reasons for visiting and why I thought others came here. I welcome the diversity of people and opinions, I can think of no other board were you will meet such a broad spectrum of people, truly I cannot. The only common denominator is some interest in some aspect of castration and Eunuchism. If you read the post though that is not the only topic discussed here. Religion, poletics, sport, the enviroment, media, just about anything. People are initialy brought here as you were wanting to understand a little more about castration and Eunuchism, they discover a group of very interesting people and they want to know more about their particular `castration perspective`. There is plenty here if you want to indulge in your own fantasy or real world castration discussion. But there is a fantastic selection of all type of people, the most amazing thing for me is how it has remained so friendly and open for so long. Excellent moderators and management I guess. How many forums do you get were the moderators post asking for peoples true opinions and saying they wont edit anything from the thread. Most sites would implode in flames within minutes. I hope you find answers to your questions about castration here whatever those questions are but I also hope you read the boards, get to know some of the people and answer the second part of your question for yourself. Welcome aboard. :)

I also would like to say hello.

I have a very high sex drive (or I did have) which was ruling me life, and I found myself getting relief up to 6 times a day, and have been doing so since I was 18. I am now 33 now, and as you can imagine this has got really boring for me.

I am now taking medication for this and am having some very good results. The medication takes me down to near castration level, without been castrated, and almost eliminates my libido. But I can still have sex with my fiancée, if I want to.

If, once I have come off the medication, my sex drive returns, I MAY consider castration as a last resort

So you see, not all of us have fantasy’s about castration, and frankly, I feel sick at the thought of getting my ball chopped off.

Even though people have fantasies about castration, most will never go through with it, because it’s a fantasy and nothing else. I have a fantasy about winning the lottery, but I probably never will.

Also, just to mention the man that wants to be fat, if you read the post all the way though, you will read that, most people tell him that it’s the wrong thing to do, and try to talk him out of it. It’s the same with people who want to be castrated, because of a fantasy, people tell them the risks involved and the result of castration, like depression and stuff like that.

So what I’m trying to say is that, you should read more of the posts, all the way through and you will find that people get castrated for genuine reasons too.

Hello "Curious241" and a sincere THANKYOU for your interest and this opportunity to offer MY own opinions on the subject of elective castration.

Your reasoning and questions are not at all offensive to me, while you might disagree with my point of view on the subject, I would not say that you are wrong in any of your thinking so far. But may I offer my reasons for my own desire for elective castration?

Years ago, I was a typical sort of sex obsessed man. I enjoyed sexual relations whenever and with whoever I could. I suppose I was not really evil or genuinely sex obsessed, but I WASTED staggering ammounts of money, time and effort in the pursuit of sex. One or two disasterous failures, being "stood up" a few times, caused me to actually think about all the waste caused by my sex drive. So I thought about what life would be without this "monkey on my back."

Luckily for me at the time, I was living in El Paso, Texas, on the U.S./Mexico border. I often went to the Mexican city of Juarez to fill perscriptions (at great savings) for relatives and friends and I knew I could get depo provera there (in men, it causes a chemical castration effect). At that time I did not even know about the Eunich Archive, I only knew that depo provera was sometimes given to sex offenders as a condition of probation, to reduce their sex drive.

Also, I remember something I saw on television, a program on violent criminal rapist/murderers. One of the men, a man condemned to death, gave an interview, told about what he had done. He had raped and murdered several women. After he was convicted and sent to prison, AFTER the crimes, he finally got the proper health care that he needed. The prison doctors found that he had seriously elevated testosterone levels, and persuaded him to take a monthly shot of depo provera. His personality changed tremendously, and he was much happier on the depo provera. His death sentence was still to be carried out, even though he was now quite a different person. He said something that really struck me, that "there would be three more people alive today and I would not be on death row if I had gotten that little shot before I started doing this."

I have never been a really violent man, and I really doubt I could rape anyone, but still, I had some sexual behaviours that I am really ashamed of. So I decided to give the depo provera a try. The difference was amazing, and I loved it. Not only did my sex drive disappear, but along with it the nearly continuous rage and hate that I felt. Things that drove me insane with hatred and rage, like loud stereos, no longer bothered me. There were "side effects" that to me were insignificant, I noticed a slight lessening of my strength and endurance, but really, it was a SMALL price to pay for the tremendous benefit of not being angry at the world all the time.

I will concede that castration might not be at all right for everyone, but there are some very real benefits, and for me I am sure it is right. Unfortunately there are also some very negative stereotypes about eunichs in our society.

Sincerely Curious241, thankyou for at least being "curious" and willing to hear my point of view, even if you never agree with me, I appreciate that you at least care enough to learn about the subject.

The end of one extreme is the Fetish angle that has some people turned on by this. I can't admit to understanding this other then my own two cents that some people are very embaressed by their sexual drive, needs etc. I had a female friend who was into "bondage" and she wanted to know if I would be interested in doing that with her. The deal (maybe in this case?) was she wanted to do sexual stuff but she wanted it to be done "to her" not be her doing it. I think a strict upbringing maybe was her issue. So take that even further and you might see a group wishing to do away with sex? But then we are talking about just one group. On the other end are the men told they have cancer who were dragged kicking and screaming to surgery who are wondering what now? I ID a bit more with them as I don't have any desire or need to be "sexless." In fact due to disease I was pretty much that way with low to no testosterone from barely functional testicles. My goal has been to reverse that and its worked! HRT has helped me a lot but I've still got chronic pains from my testes and they are barely there (Shrunken) so after talking to my MD I'm considering surgery to replace them with cosmetics. I want to

continue to use hormones for the rest of my life (knock on wood) and want to look more "male." At least in the visual department. And there you have three different types of folks on this archive looking for answers and wondering what the future will be like minus two bits of humanity. There are dozens (or more) of others. Folks who undergo Orchiectomy to save money as they transition from male to female hormone wise are a fairly good sized group. And while my first take on this was "Huh?" I've learned they are good people (in general) and some of the problems they have with hormones mimic the issues I've had. BTW It seems odd to many of us that there is not as huge a fuss made over women who are ovary-less but thats a different topic.
