Thefraj on "This Morning"
This morning I watched Thefraj on a regular daily TV program, "This Morning", that goes out on a commercial channel ITV1. This is a prime time slot going out in the middle of the morning.
Thefraj was interviewed by the regular presenters, Philip Schofield and Fern Fritton. I have to say that the two presenters came across as being very sympathetic towards Thefraj. Thefraj was able to explain the difficulties he met with his sexuality, the difficulties in obtaining any form of help in the UK and how he went to Philadelphia to be castrated by Dr Kimml.
Thefraj also acknowledged the help he had received from the contributors to the Eunuch Archive and gave the Internet address.
I felt very proud of Thefraj and the publicity that he has given to voluntary castration. Congratulations.

Re: Thefraj on "This Morning"
As an American, I am amazed and gratified to read about the reception Thefraj and the documentary appear to be receiving in the UK press (and kudos to those involved from our community for presenting a favorable image to the world). I think we're still a long way from a mainstream American outlet dealing with the subject as openly and sympathetically. So many things tend to hop the pond -- let's hope that this attitude is one of them in the future.

Re: Thefraj on "This Morning"
Terry (and all!) I wanted to say thank you for such a lovely post. I'm so sorry for not replying sooner! I've only just arrived home in the North-West. I hope the "This Morning" interview will recieve a more positive reception than the Stephen Nolan show semi-disaster. I was absolutely truthful when I said that I wouldn't be here without you all, and that you are some of the nicest people I've ever met. It's all true, and I was priveledged to be able to say it on national television.
Both Phillip and Fern were very lovely people, and treated this whole subject with such dignity and taste that I owe them so much thanks. I also had the opportunity to hug them both at the end of the interview!
I don't know the laws around this, but I hope everyone reading understands the importance of offering this community the opportunity to briefly see the small clip of my interview which may affect it, especially those in other countries who did not have the opportunity to watch the original broadcast.

Thank you for the link, I missed the actual programme.
Once again,
PS I'm very envious that you got to hug Fern!

The URL of theEunuch Archive is already one of the most disseminated and easily available on the internet. I doubt that this has notably increased our vulnerability. --FLO--

Re: Thefraj on "This Morning"
Haven't seen your interview. Hope to sometime. But I can tell that you're a wonderful person, Fraj. Where I'm at the BBC news comes on between midnight to 6am (6 to 12gmt) but I'm usually asleep. However I do still try to listen and was wondering if I might be hearing your voice sometime. Or is it a different potato altogether? P.S. Who knows maybe someday I'll go blighty.
