I think I have DVD torrents ready

If anyone wants to get the BBC program, I have made two torrents using Azureus. They are listed here:

It seems like some one is getting the mp4 file. So if others want to try, this is what you do. Go here, www.azureus.com and download Azureus, install it and run the configuration wizard. Next go here, bt-chat.com and download the file you want. After the file downloads it will automaticly start seeding. Please seed as long as you can to help others get the file. This might be a little slow until we get a lot of people helping, but it should work. Once the file is downloaded go to the location you told Azureus to save it and it's ready to use. If you are seeding, don't remove it from that location, just copy it. Quicktime plays the mp4 file on some computers or you can convert it to DVD format using ConvertXtoDVD. You can use this search engine to find programs and other things to download. http://www.torrentz.com/

If anyone has a better idea than doing it this way, let me know. Just remember I'm 55 and self taught. I can't afford the easy way and I don't want to be a DVD factory. I will seed as long as I can which is usually between 8am and 11 pm pacific time. Let me know if someone gets the program. Steve

After reading the FAQ at this site, I'm not so sure that getting it downloaded and installed is going to be very easy, much less doing anything with the video. I'm going to give it a go right now, but I really don't like the idea of DRM (Digital Rights Management) and the need for Windows Media Mangler being cited on their FAQ. I don't even HAVE Windows Media ON my PC's ... I won't allow it.

Still, Hairless's efforts are Herculean and must be commended! Capturing/converting/sharing large video ain't easy!

Perhaps there is more to it that I am too dumb to realize, or since I am not familiar with it as I am the illegal stuff, I just can't figure it out without a coach! But the knee jerk reaction of the average person, I think, is going to be to get angry and close the browser window when they see that they have to use a credit card or somesuch for this downloader.

i tried to download the Azureus, but I got the message

"This offer is not available in your area. You will be redirected shortly." - and that was all. Never mind, for the torents download I use the BitLord v.1.1 - freeware, without problems. I can support it.

After installing the BitLord you can go to http://www.bt-chat.com/, choose the right torrent (BBC Documentry Eunuchs) and click on "open" - it will start the download with the BitLord. I made it, the download started, but Hairless is probably not on-line - I got still 0 kB.

I had a little power outage, but I'm up again now. I have been having a little trouble With tracker errors. Hang in there guys, I'm not giving up yet. I'll get it to you some how, short of burning 1000 copies and mailing them. I don't want anyone to pay anything trying to get this to work. This is all new for me also. I'll get it to you guys some how and I'm open to suggestions.

Keep in mind that if only one person has this file, it's going to be quite a strain on his (Hairless's) connection if a bunch of folks go after the file at once!

We're currently discussing uploading it to Usenet, for those that know how to use that option.

The site given above is NOT where you get Azureus from!!!

Go to azureus.sourceforge.net (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/) and download it from there.

Now that I've said that, these two torrents are indeed on the slow side. Perhaps a quick usenet blip might be preferable, at least for one or two people. Then they can load those files and help seed these torrents.
