Re: A man arrested for rape...
I suppose why not. :-\

Well, let me put it this way.
Suppose I am a woman. Now, suppose I get arrested for raping a woman... now, I am convicted and I have to do time... in a prison for WOMEN?

...the trial should be REAL interesting...
Now, can you show me who raped you.
It was that man over there.
That's no man, that's a woman...
Oh... well, it felt like a penis...
...at this point the victims character is assassinated...

Re: A man arrested for rape...
Both the victim and the accused have their character assassinated no matter the circumstances. Look at what happened to those LaCrosse players....

Re: A man arrested for rape...
In many, many places the accused person in a rape case does not have to be male. Women can be and are convicted of rape in the US every year. The problem lies with the use of the word "rape". It has a specific culturally loaded meaning. The offence is, therefore, known by other titles most places (criminal sexual conduct for example). Still, in popular conversation and in news reports the use of the word "rape" is often used. Also, in most places a crime can not be gender specific to be enforced. --FLO--
