Study: People Who Like To Tease May Have High Levels Of Testosterone

Ann Arbor, MI DC (AHN) - University of Michigan researchers say that if someone seems to deliberately irk you that they could be a high testosterone individual whose hormones turn on a pleasure response when someone else is angry.

While most people don't like an angry look from someone else, researchers found that individuals with high levels of testosterone seemed to savor such looks and would even work to elicit them.

The findings may explain why some people like to tease each other so much, Oliver Schultheiss, co-author of the study and a UM associate professor of psychology said in a statement.

Researchers took saliva samples from participants to measure their testosterone levels. Testosterone is a hormone associated with dominance motivation.

Findings of the study are published in the journal Physiology and Behavior.

Don't fool yourself, I've seen some girls who were shaving in 6th grade too. And I don't mean their legs.
