Someone who looses his penis would probably live the three minutes or so that is the duration of the fight...John Bobbit lived long enough to get help. The way he pulls his pants up is a little too casual, but necessary for TV censorship, since no genitals can be shown apparently.. other than his severed penis on the floor .. which is visible if you look carefully in the scene

Bobbit had enough left that he could pinch it off to stop the bleeding. Our fighter would have grown progressively weaker as he fought and bled. Ever see how much someone bleeds when cut down there - I have - crazy fuck - but he got a tourniquet on it.

Still, it's great to see a reaction from someone who gets cut, rather than just a few seconds of screaming and then instant death. There are so many scenes where the death following penectomy is simply accepted, then the actor just nods to the side, dead. There's no attempt to save themselves, no rapid loss of ability and strength, not even any anger or fight toward the person that did that to them. It makes for both poor story telling and poor realism, as a man in that position should at least have some choice words to say.

The third penectomy in Teeth is one of my favourites for that reason, he attempts to save himself (by holding a pillow tightly against himself, not the best method but there's artistic licence to be had there), while he doesn't speak he does have a gamut of emotion (betrayal, shock, disbelief--as opposed to the regular simple horror), and he doesn't die from it--at least, not immediately. We also see the severed part and its destruction, which was a great scene.

That said, the scene in Banshee was still done quite well--the injury could have easily caused him to bleed out while adrenaline kept him fighting, but he was killed via said fighting before the blood loss could do the job. A++ find, A-1!

I agree with Kristoff -- if an erect penis is cut off you're going to bleed out really quickly unless you are able to compress it. Intense physical activity like a life and death fight will just make it happen faster -- not only will your blood pressure increase but any coagulation of the blood will keep getting rubbed off.

I think what you like is someone living for some time with a recent penectomy, which may be a good fantasy for some, but it is definitely LESS realistic.

In colloquial French La Petit Mort does in fact mean "The little death" but is a way of saying a woman had an orgasm. I suspect that this is an "inside joke" for some. Clearly, the scene depicted is a little death of...something.

Found a movie called "Blood Beach" where a would-be rapist has his penis and/or testicles bitten off by some buried sand worm, I don't recommend it, you don't see anything, no severed parts, just blood. No real clip to upload.

"Killer Condom" was much better, though you don't see much in the way of severed parts. Tried getting a clip to upload but all the dick-losing is very spread out over the movie. I recommend seeing the whole thing if you can track it down, there's lots of variety in the cutting, almost all of them survive (due to medical attention), and there's some homosexuality and crossdressing, which is great since it's not just chalk full of straight people for once. It's cheesy but good.

"Killer Condom" is one of my favorite movies. It is a satisfying mix of ridiculous fun and amazingly bad production. --FLO--

The first one is "The Holy Mountain", glad someone found a clip of that. Is that meant to be a castration in the last part of the second? Not sure what to make of that last one. Thanks for posting, it's a bitch finding these clips sometimes.
