looking to start again

Post by min_johnson (imported) »

Hey guys, I think I have waited long enough since last CA cycle, and am thinking of ordering up again, the question i have is should I order Tamoxifen as well to stop the erections completely? I have done some reading and wondering if it's just best to combine the two?

Tamoxifen??

My mom was on that for two decades as a follow-up med for chemo after a breast cancer mastectomy... within 6 months of going off it, 20 years after the mastectomy, the cancer bloomed throughout her spine and ribcage.

Is it seriusly used for the purpose you intend? Or am I just hopelessly un-read...?

And may I take this opportunity to note for any female readers who are on this drug after a mastectomy, that my moms doctor and others have noted that stopping tamoxifen use after a decade on it is a very, very bad idea. I would highly recommend staying the course if anyone is in this situation and being told that its 'time for a change', just because there are newer drugs.

Tamoxifen will wipe out any estrogen made by the free floating testosterone (CA is primarily used to prevent testosterone from binding to receptor sites and is a WEAK suppressant of test. production). So, in short you will have some free floating testosterone that can't really bind to anything it wants to so this can sometimes be converted into estrogen...tamoxifen will stop that from happening by blocking the aromatase enzyme. So the answer is yes...decreased estrogen will further inhibit your erections.

hope that helps!

I've been on chemical castration drugs for almost 8 months to ease transition to the real thing. I take andocur (100 mg) and temoxefin (20 mg). For me one temoxefin a day greatly reduces libido. Andocur itself did not stop all erections, etc. Adding the temoxefin made a BIG improvement!

thanks for the feeback guys, I think I will give the tamoxifen a try then, does the tamoxifen prevent the erections alltogether since it doesnt allow the "T" floating around to attach or does it just reduce?

Maybe I am still confused as to what causes total prevention if anything...I wonder if I would still be able to get erect after attempted arousal if either through visual or manual stimulation.
