You can count on me for the East Coast meeting unless something changes that. It should not be too far for me to travel. However I don't think I could make a West Coast meeting at this time. The long travel would just be too much for me.

Roughly where in the North West are you located? I still have some air miles from my flight attendant days. It would be better for me a little bit later in the year though.

I recently posted on another thread about my impending trip to the US.

Uncle Flo posted to ask when I'd be around and where :

Not sure where to put this and so I'm plumping for here as it seems the most appropriate place :

Roughly (and bear in mind nothing is set in stone, not in my life anyway!) :

I'll be in San Francisco middle of June until end of June.

Then I'll be in Arkansas for a couple of weeks.

Then San Francisco again, end of July.

Then Arkansas for two weeks, beginning of August.

Then Tennessee for about three weeks.

Then I'm back in the UK end of August until first week of September.

Second week of September, for one month (possibly six weeks), I'll be in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Middle of October back in the UK.

November back in Washington DC (depending on court dates, I'm working on a project which involves the Supreme Court and things change quite quickly there!)

December I'll be between SF, Arkansas and Tennessee.

If anyone lives anywhere near any of these places and fancies a meet, please do let me know. But, also, please be aware that my knowledge of US geography is crap, I just get on a plane and hope for the best! I don't want to put more specific geographical locations on the public forum but, if anyone thinks they might be interested, I could give more specific details by pm or email.

And, erm, ah, hmm...

I once belonged to a forum where I posted details about a previous visit to the US (I go each year for a teaching job, but this year I'm involved in another project and so I'm going to be there for much longer than normal), I then had pms from people suggesting that I might like to meet them at their remote farm houses for a 'weeked of fun' ... er, no!!

However, any nice friendly meet-ups, preferably in a public place, would be fantastic. So, in advance, thanks if anyone lives anywhere near any of these places.

I live in Palo Alto. That's just down the peninsula from San Francisco. There are some other members that also live near the area.

Sounds Great Bobbie!! I look forward to seeing you guys again, and the (3 - kitties) :kittygray again. I should still be here, If all goes well, i'm planning my leave for Portugal in June. As most know already, I have been waiting for that for a year now. I will still be around, but a different time zone. So, this meeting is very important to me. And yes, I will miss all of you dearly, and maybe once a year I can get back here to the USA to visit and see everyone then at a MOM gathering. But I will have to find some good prices on the airflight. Anyway, I really am looking forward to this meeting.

I know we will be making a meeting in the LA area later in the year. Perhaps we can have a northwest one again as well.

The next meeting will be the weekend of May 18-19-20 in the Philly area.
