I have never been in support of the death penalty. Aside from it being an immense waste of money, I find it lacks in creativity. There are so many things worse than death - we just got lazy. No, this man needs something particularly special.. We could simply remove his arms, legs and vocal cords and leave him at Neverland Ranch.

When he walks down that road with his ball hammer, the Iranian Insergents lead by the Mohlas tells them to go home and forget bugging and deathsquathing etc.

No I think this would be a good idea, after it is worked out some more. His talents I still got to "list" and maybe building WMD is not his Bag after all.

I still like to know how to send such a message to President Talabanih to determin if is is CAPABLE of issuing this PARDON. If Our President Ford can do it for Nixon he should be able to do it for Saddam Hussein. N3RF

Get all of Saddam's ideas on how to fix this mess all neatly written up and copied...write a book, sell the movie rights...call Barbara Walters or Oprah to interview him...he can jump on her couch!

THEN have him trampled to death by hogs.

Write HIM a letter and ask him to do just that so that his book is written before You know he tells all BYBY dangling at the end of his rope. The honoraria can go to the poor Iraqians who need to build their houses and pipeplines again or help us pay for our War Effort debth. N3RF

I found Jesus' article interesting. It sort of reflects my views.

Saddam is evil, and deserves neither power nor life. But we need to think about what purpose killing him would serve.

One side says it would send a strong signal to all those who flout UN resolutions so readily, and the Wests' ability to follow through with it's promises and rhetoric. (Resolution 1441 can be sited as being enough reason for his countries invasion). And his execution can close a dark chapter, and the end of an era of oppression of his people.

But the question I find myself asking is: what purpose is this one mans death, if it will deepen sectarian rifts which will cause the death of countless hundreds of thousands more?

I know how people like Hitler and Saddam think. Their ideas shall find new strength through the shedding of their own blood. Their past words and deeds will be forever memorialized upon the hearts and minds of those who will find renewed strength to continue fighting by their glorious example. And the worst part is - he knows this! And will readily exploit this with the Sunni/Baathist followers.

Might I remind people here that Hitler has been dead for over 60 years! And (arguably!) the political following of Nazism in most European nations has never been stronger!

People can die, but ideas are bulletproof. And ideas find strength through their proponents' Martyrdom. Oh - that... and that "Saddam" almost spells "Mad Ass" backwards. Should have seen it coming. 🙄

Plenty of people (including myself!) warned that invading Iraq would be a terrible move in 2003.

Today I warn that executing Saddam will be the SECOND worst decision made this decade.

But is it even the Wests' decision to make? Surely it is up to the Iraqis to sort their own futures out, (with our help!). We cannot afford to get too deeply involved in 'puppeteering' justice in Iraq, and then complain that there is no 'exit strategy'.

Can we? :-\

Yes I agree with You and I am trying to find the personal Email address of the President of the Republic of Iraq. I found this so far:

_________________________

Embassy of Iraq

is located at

1801 P St. NW, Washington DC 20036

Tel: (202) 483-7500

_____________________________

and maybe they will call me back with that Email address.

But as You all know - getting an answer from a "government" body is very ???

Well I just came home and on the news line on my car radio I heard that Saddam now in US Custody will when turned over to the Iraqian custody most likely be taken directly to the gallows.

And I tried to call the Iraw Embassy and the recording switched me over to tha Ambassadors connection where I was allowed to leave a message to call me back.

No one ever did - second day trying.

I hope someone has a Humane solution to the KILL-KILL phenomena that is so popular in our world today. N3RF

This is what I came up with "last minute" I suppose:

For the Presidents Eyes ONLY /

My effort to find Email address* for President Iraq has failed. I have called the Ambassador of Iraq two days, but no-one has called back for the information* that I wanted to obtain.

Last chance since Saddam Hussein is still in US custody, and can be valuable to the USA more as alive than dead, I suggest that He be pulled out of Iraq and assigned a job with the USA intelligence and strategy service. Please act on this at once. Get Talabanis OK and "pardon" to go with it.

Respectfully Yours Johan-in-Washington, Chm SRL and LSRF
