This is an experimental drug that has not been released to market. It is a vaccine that serves as a GNRH inhibitor, thus blocking testosterone production.

Is then a lifetime (GnRH) agonist (inhibitor) as is implied, since it is describe as a vaccine?

From what I understand, yes, it is a permanent agonist - lifetime effects.

Has anyone seen anything posted as late on any new developments with norelin? Most of what I see is several years old.

Really enjoyed the article. I plan to print it off so I can peruse it more closely and enjoy it more. I have used Saw Palmetto for years. Might be the reason I have a small prostate.😄

Sister K, Can you tell me if you think Saw Palmetto has any value to a man without testes who takes normal levels of HRT? Is it possible that taking it just negates some of the effect?? I R cornfused...😄

I'm wondering if this article could possibly explain some of the dangers involved. I have read online other mentions of the dangers with banding or other methods of DIY but not many specific problems that can arise. In relation to calves dangers are listed albeit some would not be so relevant to humans. For example tetnus, which can avoided by a sterile environment and/or a simple vaccine. With the issue of male cattle remaining fertile before the sloughing begins, I'm not sure in the first couple of weeks anyone would be up for post operative cannoodling anyway. I could be wrong.

So perhaps you could include some of the complications that may arise for those of us who aren't in the know which may deter one from some self-styled nut nip & tuck?
