New as a poster...

Post by Eunuchus (imported) »

...and as a Eunuch. 🤘

I registered at this site while sitting in my room at the Philadelphia Best Western Center City motel, one block from Dr. Kimmel's office, with a bag of ice pressed against my greatly reduced crotch.

It's now a few days later, and what has absolutely amazed me is the absolute and complete absence of any pain in all that time.

Dr. Kimmel left in a "drain" (a length of 6mm tubing to prevent the buildup of excessive liquids inside the incision), and it was doing exactly that until I removed it yesterday. (Snip! Pull. Odd feeling as 6 inches of rubber tube came out.)

My surgery was on Monday, the 18th of December starting about 10 AM.

After he was done with the orchiectomy and complete scrotal removal, he had me lay for awhile until I seemed ready to sit , then had me sit for a bit and finally slowly stand, make my way to a chair and dress.

Dr. Kimmel attempted to use the minimum amount of Lidocaine to avoid any of the side effects, and during the surgery there was one point where he strayed just slightly beyond the area that was totally numbed, but just one yelp from me 😱 and he made certain that didn't happen again by putting a bit more anesthetic into that specific area. All in all, the total pain from ALL sources related in any way to the surgery over the past 5 days has been less than stubbing one's toe.

Dr. Kimmel called me at the hotel around 8PM to check on me, and we chatted for nearly an hour. He actually is a man genuinely concerned with his patients. 👉

The most uncomfortable part of the surgery was my legs starting to ache a bit at the hip joint because of my holding them on one position for so long.

The most uncomfortable thing AFTER the surgery was when the ice bag between my legs sprang a pinhole leak and soaked the waterproof pad under me with ice water in the middle of the night. 🤫

Surgery, as I said, was Monday, He saw me again Tuesday afternoon and I flew back across country Wednesday evening with no problems - and very little discomfort.

It will be quite awhile before I'm totally healed, but already one of the pleasures is the different fit of clothing, even with the Maxi-pads I'm wearing over the area to absorb seepages and to protect the incision and stitches.

I have 20 days worth of Doxycycline (antibiotic) from a prescription Dr. Kimmel had filled at a local pharmacy near his office that delivers (prescription was $12 delivered to my motel room).

That's it for now. Nothing much to add. I used ONE of the provided Ibuprofen on the flight home because of a slight headache, but other than that...

I'm carefully following ALL his instructions, and expect no problems.

Most surprising of ALL this is how painless the entire thing has been.

Congratulations on your first post and your castration. I am glad all is well. I am also a December eunuch. It was a nice present for myself. Thank you for sharing your experiences and I look forward to reading other progress as your body adjusts. I would also be interested in your reasons for joining the family.

Welcome to the brotherhood. ;) Also a December eunuch here (2005). Stick around and be sure to let us all know how you're doing as time passes.

Nothing much to add other than a brief comment on the 'why' of it all. I think each of us probably has a different reason, and most of them are probably difficult to describe to someone else. As simply and concisely as I can put it is I was tired of them physically and tired of the overt effects of testosterone. The 'when' of it was a fortuitous trip to the east coast paid for by others, and a break in my schedule that allows me time to have the surgery done and to recover without having to rush back to anything. (Well, nothing drastic, at least - visiting relatives for a few days starting tomorrow, but other than that, no stress.)

I will need to watch for osteoporosis in the future, of course, but... *shrug*

I'll probably not be a volume poster - especially not over the rapidly approaching holidays - but I do plan to more or less post updates as there is something to report.

Thanks for the very interesting description of your surgery. Perhaps there is hope for Dr. Kimmel after all. It sounds like things went very well for you, unlike the experiences of some other recent patients.

Please keep us posted of your experiences as time progresses. The aftermath and side effects are of major concern to me and the other wannabees.

Good to hear that things turned out OK for you.

Some of the stories coming out of Kimmell's office lately are frightening.

Please keep us posted and don't hesitate to ask for advice.

That's also what surprised me the most about my castration. I had really expected there to be so much pain afterwards.
