See what I mean about dumbing down! I give up that serious debate can occur:( No, amusing as it may seem I didn't mean Virgins - those eating meat and all the by products I mentioned during the crisis years are as susceptible

as anyone else - except a Vegan.

Incidentally A-1, Happy New Year. I hope we have some real Vegetarians and Vegans who would like to choose to contribute to this thread....please!

The implication, that was missed, is that blood-borne pathogens are spread at a more rapid rate by sexual contact than by food, meat included...

Hence, VIRGINS are safer...

...Now, shall we discuss transmission by ORAL sex.?..NAW!

Happy New Year to YOU, also, my friend, sac mec....

True sentiments A-1. Virgin Vegans in the UK and elsewhere are indeed the most supreme choice for blood donation. Yep, it is a serious remark and I apologise for thinking you were being whimsical, it was all the emoticons that distracted me from your seriousness. Very sadly I guess this group of folk are a bit thin on the ground today, but it is curious because an interest in asexuality and Veganism would sound horrendous to highly sexed people who just eat meat and animal fat and yet I would see someone like that as being very thoughtful about each of their life choices and I would look on them with admiration.

Food for thought?

I never knowingly eat soy products. See, that explains my high level of masculinity, my machismo, my virility, my being a chick magnet....

Ok, OK so I'm delusional about my straight male ego.

I do like the idea of a new Harry Harrison movie that Jesus mentioned...Soylent Pink sounds absolutely yummy.

Jim Rutz is still at it. Hereย’s an article posted today by Jill Souble. The link in it is to the most recent of Rutzย’s articles.

Soy Bomb: The Musical?

by Jill Souble

One of my favorite crazy right wing bloggers is Jim Rutz. His latest cause has been the danger of soy to our nation. It is the subject of his last five columns (
675). He claims that soy has caused the feminization of our men folk and could be contributing to homosexuality. Well, I thought about writing a song about it, mentioned it in my last newsletter, and asked for lyric ideas.

Here were some of the best:

From Aimsel came:

He lost all interest in Nirvana, and Bette Midler was all he played

And then, he stopped walking, instead he just sashayed

From Vance:

The bottom line is,

to protect your kids:

only feed 'em stuff

that once had a heart."

From Therese:

"Soy Vey - I must be Gay!"

Richard Barone and I gave it a try. Here were some choice lines:

He used to listen to rock

Ted Nugent was his favorite

Now that he's into Soy

It's the Pet Shop Boys

Soy Bomb, it's a crazy scene

It's the devil's bean

But, I think the winner is from John Strickler:

Mama fed me soy soy soy

Now I'm a boy toy boy toy boy toy

A tisket a tasket, I'm gay as a picnic basket

Mama fed me that homo-genized milk

And now my underwear is made of silk

Who would've thought that food from the co-op

Could make me so feminine I'm all but pre-op?

Could the entire Chinese army be gay?

They eat soy sauce every day
