Re: Severe Testicular Pain
I guess that I am lucky then. I had sever pain for 2 years before my Dr. removed them. Again it was one at a time, but what a relief. The first operation was no fun had a lot of pain after words, but it was bare able. The second operation was a breese. I woke up in less pain than I was in just prior to the surgery. I told the Dr. that and he was amazed about that. HRT take a little getting used to. Used Androgel for 2 months, but I found out that (for me) that the gel help my labito up, but it could not keep my penis up. So I was horny, but mostly unable to use it properly. Had my first shot of Testostone 3 weeks ago, and sexually I felt like I was 18 years old. I could do it 3 times a day with no problem. So good luck and keep us posted.

Re: Severe Testicular Pain
I've had testicular pain on both sides for the past six years, ever since a failed Burdizzo attempt. (Sprung clamp.) The pain is sometimes severe, frequently mild, but always present.
After much hoop jumping and therapist visits, they will be gone next month.
Finally, relief!

Re: Severe Testicular Pain
Google "Chronic orchialgia" There is a lot of good information on the problem, causes and some solutions. I am really shocked to see that someone else had the mumps twice! When I was into my family doctors with the second case he told me that this was a virus you didn't get "twice" and that whoever diagnosed me the first time was confused or an idiot. Of course it was HIM!
The problem with damage from this sort of thing is that it can cause long term pain and even function issues. And the worst part is that for some of us it just keeps going on and on. Thus Bilateral Orchiectomy is still a treatment option. Depending on your age you may wish to fully look into all the other options and bank sperm if you have any possibility of needing that for future bio family options. That said adoption IS great. Just based on what I've read, heard from my Urologist the treatment options for long term orchialgia are fairly hit but mostly miss other then the Bilateral. They have a nerve reduction surgery that is being promoted but thats pretty new. Anyway, you have only had this for a while. Don't make perminant fixes to short term problems. *In other words wait and see and do what you can.
Stuff that I've tried and some works better then others.
Suspensitory. This is a jock strap sort of underwear that you can put on to minimize letting your testes move around. Tight underwear is next best because a suspensitory lets them (Your pair) breath cooler air. Boxers? For me I would say why not just kick me in the groin. OUCH!

Frozen peas. A bag placed over the crotch when it gets really bad is a huge relief. Just don't freeze your "unit"
One thing if your a Seinfeld fan - this cause serious temporary "shrinkage" you don't want to let your potential bed mate see you in the chilled /shrunken state.
Ibuprofen. I hate to suggest it because too much for too long is not good for you but in a pinch it can help.
In the US they have Pain Docs who know a lot about chronic pains. My suggestion is to be very careful with these guys. Opiates for example will eliminate your pain. And possibly hook you on prescription narcotics! None for me. Numbing drugs might also work but who wants injections into their gonads 3 times a week? *Don't answer those of you who DO want that
They also have Tens units that are supposed to help with pain. I think I understand this theory. I'm shocking my nuts. Boy do they feel better when I'm NOT shocking my nuts.
Anyway, thanks to whoever started this thread for this is the kind of stuff that is my motivation to visit the archive.

Please keep us informed how it goes. Also I would be very interested what steps you tried before you went with orchiectomy and if any of them were any good or not. Did they do a scrotal incision to remove or did they make an opening at the bikini line type to remove the cord as well? And I also wanted to ask if you opted for a testicular "appliance" / implant? And if so, what kind and size?

Re: Severe Testicular Pain
I'm also a guy who's testicular pain eventually led me to have my testicles excised. I was advised by an urologist at age 24 that my set was way too tight, and my future would entail ever more testicular pain, the only solutions to which were either pain killers or castration. Because they lived mostly in my inguinal canals, they were subject to infections. The pain came from scar tissue when the infections healed, either on their own or with the help of pharmaceuticals. That was in the early 1970s when doctors were a bit looser with castration. While I'm glad I didn't follow the neutering advice right away, I'm glad I eventually did. It was a good decision. Balls are far over-rated.

Re: Severe Testicular Pain
After taking meds for over a year to deal with the pain, I have eventually got appointment with a urologist to talk about my issues.
Please guys help me here as I think I'm going mad...
The pain initially starts just under my balls at either side of my leg if you get my drift. The pain is sharp and very, very intense. It then quickly moves into each ball and they become very sore and tender for 2 to three days. The pain tends to then move into my groin and then I generally have pain of sorts in all three areas. I get very grumpy, cant sleep and feel sick in my stomach. When the pain is not there, each ball still feels very sensity. Generally I'm extreme pain free for around a day a week all in all, but thats probably me being positive as it fucking hurts me.
Ive been on pain killers, neuro blocks, anit biotics, anti inflammatory and just want the pain to go....

Re: Severe Testicular Pain
That sounds similar to what I felt but I didn't have any pain away from the Testes. (No leg pain etc)
Things you should consider. There is still nerve meds like (spelxing?) Gabapatent, Lyrica to try. Many men swear by them. You might want to try Tens Therapy. You could also try Nerve Blocks (Have your Cords and Testes injected with long lasting numbing drugs), and (ugh) Opiates. Before a Urologist will do anything you will probably be asked to at least consider these alternatives. You can vote no (As I did with Opiates)
The nerve block injections for sure since they will tell him if the pain comes from the cords/testicles. For all that I suggest you see a pain doctor first. Only if that fails do you need a Urologist and if you do see one find out first if they even know anything about Orchialgia.
Good luck Zac.

Re: Severe Testicular Pain
The pain is not in my leg, just between the leg and groin.. the crease if you know what I mean. The nerve block meds have worked... problem is they upset my stomach and I dont want to be on meds for the rest of my life to control pain.... its a crazy thought... Im scared that the rest of my life will involve taking meds for pain...
I think I first posted about this in 2006 so have been living with this for a long time.... if the urologist can not tell me what is causing the pain and cant tell me what can be done other than for me taking meds, I really dont know what to do.. It would be simple if he says what it is and says it involves surgery OR if he says what it is and refuses surgery; in that case I will take matters into my own hads...
