Mac, Beethoven's Sixth Symphony is one beautiful piece, one of the few times in his life he was semi at peace and relatively happy which reflects in the Pastoral.
However, I am curious as to which Overture you want?
And you can give me surf_balls regardless of which Overture you want.
(yeah, I know but I can find an avatar for balls).

And where might this "musical shrine" be? Mine is located in my living room home entertainment system.

Mine is right behind my desk chair. Truthfully, I just plain old like music----everything from Grand Funk to Grand Opera. Right now I'm listening to Ragtime Christmas music courtesy of a local radio station. Yes, there are still a few stations that play something other than computerized formula playlists. --FLO--

You must be doing The Current? I would certainly agree that a very wide ranging and eclectic taste in music is good. Love folk, jazz, blues, rock, country, the old masters (not only LVB, but Bach, Mozart, and many others), chant (but not rap), etc. Hell, one time I even listened to CRAP (you know, Country RAP)... MN Public Radio in all its incarnations are great....
