I've never done any ball banding, but I'm currently writing a story that includes cock banding, so I tried it out on myself, partly as research for the story partly out of curiosity. First time I ever tried it. I used a big rubber band tripled over. It went on pretty tight, not a tight as an elastrator band certainly, but it was tight, tight enough for my cock to turn blue.

I must say, it was a weird sensation. Up to where the band was, my cock was hard, but the last three inches of it, beyond the band were not. My cock stuck out like I had an hard on, but the part beyond the band was limp. It still had feeling, not as much as it would have otherwise, but it still had feeling. Interesting experiment. I'm not sure I'll repeat it, but it was interesting. Good research for my story.

Be very careful with the banding. It could lead to blood clots. It's also very painful, especially after an hour or two.

Once when I tried banding myself I used a large rubber band and wound it very tightly multiple times. The scrotum and contents went numb very quickly (only a few minutes). After about 45-minutes I had too much pain building up in my cords to continue, so I cut the band off. Then I had a bad 24-hours of testiclular pain and a hot flash or two.

Needless to say, I have not tried this again.

Your reply is quite interesting. The rapid numbing and ball cord pain suggests that the rubber band you used achieved greater pressure than the rings and other rubber bands I have tried so far. The ongoing testicular pain is not a reaction I have had nor the hot flashes both of which suggest cord damage may have occurred. I don't have much information on what other people's reaction have been so I appreciate this response.

Your reply is also interesting. I didn't realize that my homemade banding attempt was so sucessful compared with your use of a commercial animal bander. I have small plumbing so perhaps the animal bands might be too big for me.... Sounds like an experiment is in order....

The numbing was almost immediate. the cord pain took longer to arrive - perhaps about 10 minutes or so. Then it got very intense. At about 45-minutes I took the band off. You know what it feels like when your leg goes to sleep, all tingles and electric shocks? Just imagine what your balls will feel like when the blood rushes back in! WOW!

Several hours later, I had to lie down as I was having lots of pain in the testicles, and that's when I also had the hot flash. The next day I saw a urologist as the pain in my balls was still very strong. (He felt me up but couldn't find anything damaged.) By the next day, I was back to normal.

After about a month I noticed that the right testicle was much smaller than it had been originally. 30-years later everything seems to be normal and back to full size.

From what information I can find about banding, it would have to be applied for more than 4-hours to be fully effective in killing the testicles.

I banded myself the first time while very drunk and passed out.

I woke up due to the pain a few hours later and cut the band off.

I had similar pain experiances as Kangan to the point where what I can only describe as a backlash action knocked me out again.

I remember I tried to work the next day but gave up after about an hour due to pain and nausea.(My work mates said I looked totally green though they thought I'd just had a too big a night on the piss).

I'm thinking I may have had some sort of blood poisoning given the way I felt and looked.

I was pretty much fine the day after that just a bit sore round the balls.

I tried banding a few more times after that but gave up pretty soon because of pain.

I have pretty much constant pain in the cords and testes now that ebbs and flows in it's intensity (I'm actually finding it very uncomfortable sitting here writing this).

I also suffered from torsion mostly the right ball from my twenties to my mid thirties which I managed to fix my self.

I was about 21 when I first banded my self I'm now just a few months off 40.I haven't tried any self castration since, thinking there has to be a better way. I'm also greatful that I didn't succeed all those years ago as now I have 3 great kids.

Kristoff is correct in saying that the balls will be dead in about 12 hours, but you can do serious damage in a lot less time. My interest in banding is just to enjoy the fantasy of losing my balls, not to actually do any damage to them.

I have an elastrator and the little green bands and I have no doubt that one of them is enough to destroy your testicles if left on long enough. I do use as many as three at a time on occasion and sometimes band each ball separately just to vary my fantasies.

His advise about the dog nail clippers may sound funny, but that is what I use, because they are much safer and easier to use. You have to get off on a little pain to enjoy banding yourself. It does hurt like hell when that little band is cut, but only for a split second. If it lasted longer, I couldn't take it.

Maybe I'm really strange, but that is one part of the experience that really turns me on.

Before I started shaving, I couldn't deal with all the pain caused by the band constantly tugging at my pubic hair.
