Apparently Costco has anti-gay references in its training videos for its employees. One employee is suing saying he cannot return to that hostile environment.
When I find out more details and or a link, I'll update here.

Re: Costco
Hi MacTheWolf,
Gee, just when ya think it's 'OK' to come outta the closet - the door flies off the hinges by the guys you've secretly been chasing for months on end!!
Needless to say, COSTCO in Phx is about a singular sensation in this regard - there is even a branch office (we have 3 or 4 of them in town) that almost without exception hires Gay men and women regularly - my cousin is also Gay, and works at that branch, and says that even the floor managers and higher-ups are also Gay as well. Although he didn't say if the application process is designed to single out GLBT persons for employment, he was rather confident that they would be hired faster at THAT branch, than say at one of the others in the city. And, nothing openly overt about gay discrimination in hiring here in AZ Maybe it's because we have such a good solid base of talented and dedicated members of the work force here that the company isn't willing to loose a whole branch office to satisfy a complaint.
Granted: all it takes is a disgruntled recent-hire to start problems, and then even that branch will be in questionable status with the parent Co. It's also interesting that in this branch, even being an "old guy" gets looks and often have been 'cruised' repeatedly by some of the hot foxes that work there - mostly in short-short pants, and bulges for days! If they only knew some of the things I'm thinking about when they "brush past me", and ask "pardon for the bumping..." At least one of the crew would certainly make a very nice work in progress..

Re: Costco
Hmmm this has not been my experience as a long time member of Price Club (now Costco). They made the process of getting a family card extremely easy for my husband and I and have always been very warm to us.
I just moved and made my first visit to the local Costco, there was one flamingly obvious queen with a nametag on, and he looked as happy as could be (probably because they don't make you wear a red vest that would have clashed with his cute outfit).
