Wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving, etc.

Post by Paolo »

As I was stopping by on a technical issue, I thought I would take the time to say hello and wish All well.

Also to let Talula know that my cooking has yet to burn the house down!

Some tips:

The latest experiment was with a real pumpkin cooked into a pie in a lower carb/sugar crust with fake milk. It looks awful. Smells good, though. The kitchen survived. Pumpkin, squash, etc. are high in fiber and slowly glycemic, as well. Using ordinary potatoes this Thanksgiving? Switch to sweet potatoes. Make the stuffing with reduced carb/sugar free bread. (This may well be a nightmare by Thursday!)

As for an update - I have a routine test in Jan. or Feb. until then, the Dr. doesn't want to see me. He's impressed with my numbers. I'm going to see if I can get them to test the T. level then as well.

Weight - 153 lbs., at 5'9" tall.

Waist - 32" regular, loose

Shoe size - 8 - if anyone cares. None of the boys can steal my shoes now, their feet are too big!

Highest blood sugar level on a test - ~300

(McDonalds will kill you!)

14 day average - 105. Some very low readings in there that offset it.

Usual wake up base - 105-110, sometimes less.

Days out of control for no good reason - 2.

Organic diet sugar controllers - 60% to 85% (if you can find it) dark chocolate bars. One square -10 points down. Don't ask me why? Flavinols? Who knows?

Dry, dark red Syrah wine - 5 ounces = -15 to -20 points

Foods like celery - as a snack, cause the system to use more energy than it can absorb from the food. You can do a web search on this. There are a few.

Reduced carb natural pastas - don't ask me why, maybe it fools the pancreas or liver, I don't know. I figured it would make little difference - it made a big one - in lowering the number!

Still no meds required!🙏

In closing, wishing you all well this holiday season.🚬

Take it easy on the feasting!!!:D

I agree. The place isn't the same without the Evil Overlord around to keep us straight.

i like the daily intake plan.

Its a good idea to think about what goes into your body, nothing worse than a stinky, sticky mess coming out!

Celery kicks butt, yummy with peanut butter. Also a good snack is organic vegetable broth.
