Please stop promoting the unsterile Dr. Kimmel - you are doing a disservice to our community. I find it amazing that Kimmel is still in business.

Elastration and the Burdizzo will do the job, but are definitely not recommended for a wide variety of reasons. Pain is the least of these reasons. Various complications like blood clots can be life threatening. Don't do it yourself.

We desperately need a professional medical replacement for Dr. Kimmel and the various cutters out there. Given the religious right movement in control of our government don't expect this to happen very soon, however. Meanwhile, we all suffer. Frankly, I'd prefer a competent cutter to a bad doctor any day.

I've played wit the elasrator, the Ideal bander, and back in the 1960's the appli-castor and the tri-bander. All of these stretch a small band over the scrotum. The EZ bander stretches a contiuous loop with a trigger ratchet. The calcitrate bader stretches a cut loop and crimps a wire around the tightened end. The newest bander is the California bander. It is little more than a handle that holds a clip with a pre cut piece of rubber that is wrapped around the scrotum and hooked back in the clip.

I have never seen banded balls rot. Living in the desert they allways dry up.

It can take months of walking around with a hard lump in your shorts.

Never have I worn a band long enough to experience the pain talked about.

Yes I still have testicles.

by the way Neutersol doesn't Castrate.

Neutersol is not injected into the testicle, but rather the epididimus. causing scare tissue to block sperm the same as a vasectomy does.

Or rather how Essure sterilisation works in women. by building scare tissue.
