Well I got a councilor and I find our sessions to be very helpful. She has referred me to a doctor and I had an appointment (it was expensive $161 and I have no insurance). I would have gotten a prescription for spirolactone and estrogen at that time but my councilor hadn't gotten my letter sent yet so I have to wait. My doctor said that after she talked to my councilor she would mail the prescription to me. I am hopping it will arrive tomorrow as I ran out of my estrogen over a week ago and my androcur ran out today.

After my last post I switched to estrogen gell and lowered my androcur back down to 100mg.

Well I now have my prescription. It's for 50mg spirolactone and 2mg estradiol. I ended up having to go to my doctors office to pick it up but that was ok as I was able to get blood work done at the same time. My doctor had wanted to wait until she had talked to my councilor before doing this.

In about a month I will see my doctor again and hopefully this will go up.

Yesterday I received a $254 bill for the blood test that I had done. I was not told that I would be charged so much and had not thought to ask about price at the time. I guess I believed what I wanted to. This brings the expense up to $415 when added to the $161 I paid for the office visit. I was going to go back and get anther checkup but I simply can not afford to so now I am going back to self medicating.

I was going to talk to my doctor about this but I didn't know what know what I could say so I did not contact her.
