he is just one of the many like myself that are impulsive. Get a great idea about lowering our overactive labido with a simple castration and do it before fully realizing the consequenses and thinking it through.

I am also sorry I was castrated and curse the day I went to philly but have learned to live with it. The smartest thing I have heard so far around here is to try chemical for 1yr and if becoming asexual and hypometabolic does not bother you than have the surgery.

You have not written anything about your castration experience that I can find and I for one think that it would be extremely beneficial to our eunuch community and wannabe's. Could you tell us about why you went to Philly, presumably to see Dr. Kimmel? Could you tell us the details of your surgery? Or how things have changed since your castration? I'm sorry that you are unhappy with the way things turned out, but save some others by telling them about yourself. Hash

You have received a ton of great advice and you would be wise, extremely wise, to heed it. You are very young and unless you are transgendered, you should try chemical castration first. It will give you a real understanding of what it's like to be a eunuch and if you don't like it, you can stop the chemicals and return to where you were. If you get surgically castrated, you'll be a eunuch for the rest of your life and even with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), you will not feel the same sexually. If you regret it at your age, you'll be miserable for a long long time.

I use HRT and can boost my testosterone to extremely high levels, but I'm still not that sexual, and that's because the testicles react to the brain's impulses. I can't explain it, but I'm not the same and don't experience the sexual feelings that I had before I was castrated. So try chemical castration and if you like it and Dr. Kimmel is still living, go for the real deal. Hash

I understand what Eunuchist is saying, however, depression is a real complication of castration. I agree with Sealforvr, think seriously about using HRT. At your age the complications of being a eunuch can be severe and can cause some health problems like osteoporosis. HRT will also improve your sense of well being and you'll probably develop and mature so that you won't look like a 15 year old kid. A little HRT will make you feel good about yourself. I am truly concerned about you and want to help you. You should not allow others to use you or take advantage of you. Do what's best for plix. PLEASE!

I very much doubt that. As far as I am concerned, Plix already tried HRT and the outcome turned out to be less than satisfactory (there was no effect on mood). As to the sense of well-being, there are obviosuly no definite asnwers. I have seen feedback from other eunuchs who report an increased sense of well-being following castration or chemical castration. For instance read the detailed feedback by Sherry Lanina and Jeff Adams, as well as "Cat Daddy" Andrew (but also Studlover, Madscientist, etc.). If anything, my sense of well-being was impaired as long as I were on my own testosterone, so I can relate to their reports. Obviously, what's right for some doesn't neccessary equal right for others.

Finally, I really can't see what's all the fuss about looking younger your age. Many people are willing to undertake extreme measures to look at least a few years younger; if anything, looking younger your age is seen as a sign of prosperity, health and vitality. In our day and age, pronounced secondary sexual characteristics are becoming increasingly obsolete, as the emergence of such "boyish" characters like Di Caprio and Michael Fox, and the acceptance of homosexuality and transsexualism clearly confirms. To ingest testosterone merely to suit OTHER people's subjective, prejudiced and sexist macho opinions by deleting one's youth, is pretty much in conflict with the "do if it's right for you, not for others" policy.

So what if a bunch of ignorant folks appear to ignore you simply because you look younger than average. Well, I would say - to hell with them and their tiny little "opinions". Instead, find someone who accepts you as as a fellow humanbeing worthy of attentiveness and friendship - soemone who would be worthy of YOUR attention. Modifying or wishing to modify your healthy body to suit a bunch of ignorant folks and "peer pressure" is, IMHO, some of the tragic things one could do. I learned the hard way..
