Would like to be eunuch
I am a 19 year old gay male (for the time being hehe) and new to this site. I am looking to be castrated and have a penectomy. It is something I've always wanted and I have done quite a bit of research into it but I have yet to find anyone willing to help me out with it. If there is anyone here who may be willing to help me out with it you can get me on yahoo mail and messenger with the same name as here (jnywant2beunuch), i would really appreciate it
Thanks!
Thanks!

jnywant2beunuch,
First of all: Welcome to the Eunuch Archive!
Regarding your desires, just have two bits of advice:
1. Don't bother thinking about a penectomy until at least 6 months after castration. The hormonal changes from castration may change your mind about penectomy. Not that you will fall in love with the thing, but the whole matter may become moot. Or you may decide it is a handy enough thing for urination. (In extreme cases like mine, you may even want to retain Mr. Penis for use in SRS.)
2. Have your castration performed by a doctor qualified to do such things. Dr. Kimmel in Philadelphia is about the only option. One way to tell that your desire to be castrated is authentic, not fantasy-driven, is to have it done in the proper, safe way. If that sounds unappealing, then you should examine your desires more carefully.
Your age is also a concern. Surgical castration is for life. Try chemical castration first; here is a link to EA's forum on the subject: http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=34
Don't get castrated to please anyone but yourself. Other people will come into your life and depart sometime later. Find out if castration is right for YOU, whether in a relationship or not.
Hope you find what brings you satisfaction,
Terri

Re: Would like to be eunuch
Thanks for the reply and the welcome
I'm not intending to have the castration and penectomy done at the same time. Like i said earlier, I've done alot of research into it and pretty much everything I've read and heard says to have them done at different times for quite a few different reasons. What I would like is to have the castration done first and then like you said a few months down the road have the penectomy done.
As far as having it done by a Dr, I have no prob with that, the only prob was that I had been looking and hadn't found anyone. I even had one guy who was telling me to fly to Thailand to have it done. I will def try to find out some more info of Dr. Kimmel though, thanks for the name
I appreciate your concern for my age and know it is prob difficult for alot of people to understand that I could be so sure about something like this while still in my teens, but it is something I have wanted and researched for a very long time. A few years ago I wasn't sure if I really wanted it or it was fantasy but by now I'm positive it's what I want. And I am not doing it for anybody else, completely for myself.
Thanks again for the welcome and info and everything

Re: Would like to be eunuch
Give it a bit of time and someone will post Kimmel's info here. (I dont have it handy)
The recommendation for chemical castration is an extremely good and very important consideration. There have been many folks over the years who have been extremely sure, well-researched, very ready, and then after the deed is done, sorely regret it.
I don't think age should be a barrier. I DO think experience with the chemical approach is, however, critical. At least for six months if not a year. You have plenty of time to be sure. 20 might be a better age for your castration.

Re: Would like to be eunuch
I think - that with the PROPER explanation and ORDER any doctor with surgical skill will be glad to do it without a lot of talk and run-around :
like " I have PAIN in my Balls and I have decided to have You (the Doctor of Choise) remove them" and not allow any "further discussion" about it. Just one two three and it is accomplished. Leave no opening for Doubt. N3RF

Hi jnywant2beunuch!
I am a 21 year old male who was castrated at 20, just over a year ago. I have now come to the point where I regret it and wish I could have them back. I do go back and forth quite a bit, but deep down I know it was not the right thing to do.
I have no libido and little erectile function. I thought that's what I wanted for life, but I now realize I miss it at times and that having it wasn't so bad.
But the part I dislike the most is the fact that I look like and am treated like a 15 year old kid (and I'd probably look younger if I didn't have such a strong facial structure). When I go out with my older partner, no one even makes eye contact with me, let alone speaks to me.
I like you thought about it for a long time (though not as long as you) and was sure I wanted it. I must live for life with my choice, and I still have a long ways to go (hopefully).
I am not saying it is wrong for you, or that you will not be very happy doing it. I am just asking you to really and truly think it through, and then think it through longer after that.
At the least please try chemical. At minimum one year, and I am forming a belief that for the young it should be two.
Be careful.

Plix, are you on Hormone replacement?
If not, you need to be. Andropause symptoms like that are not good and for your long term health and happiness you need to be on some amount of test to relieve the depression and give you some libido back.

I was not long ago, and I do continue to debate it, but I also am considering just accepting what I did and living with it.
I can't deny there is a certain calm in lacking the libido. I think I don't want to have it nonstop all the time, but I also don't want to lack it entirely. I'd prefer being able to turn it on and off at will

Genereally, the biological health of an organism is enhanced in many ways (immune system, risk of tumors, nervous system, blood) after castration to varying degrees, depending upon the age and degree of sexual development + a bit of genetic predisposition. This is true for virtually every larger animal species and humans are not an exception. Some of the studies wich link "low t" to moribidity are irrelevant because naturally occuring low t is merely a symptom of compromised health, not a cause of it (it has been repeatedly demonstrated that t is very vulnerable to various sorts of ailments, including common cold).
However, because castration in adults tends to produce a mixture of testosterone withdrawal side-effects the immediate impression might be sometimes that your health is compromised. However, in this case, any such perceptions have absolutely nothing to do with long-term health. For instance alcoholics and smokers in temporary remission may well report being "high" and comfortable going back to their habit, but that does not, of course, make them any healthier. Some of the reported "Wow" effects of steroids/brain stimulants by their users, likewise, have nothing to do with long-term health and longevity.
I have so far examined about 60 studies on the matter and the only conclusion I can come up with is that the decision of whether one should do HRT should definitely not be based upon concernes about long-term health.
