Tell me: why are *YOU* into castration?
An inquiring mind wants to know: why do you visit this site?
Are you, like me, just curious about castration and would never, EVER, allow oneself to be "nutted"? (As you may well know, I have an unhealthy fascination with castration)
Or, are you hellbent on being a eunuch?
If that is the case-
Why?
I'm not here to ridicule you, it's just that I could never figure why someone would want to be an eunuch.
(or maybe you're an eunuch because fate played a cruel trick)
In fact, I don't know why I'm interested in castration.
Maybe by you telling me why your the way you are, I can get a better understanding why I visit this site.
Maybe.

In my case, libido problems, and a desire for a release from sex. This has happpened, along with "The Eunuch Calm". An extra 10-15 years of life is a nice bonus.

To tell you the truth, I don't know why most folks are here either. But for me, I had my testes and weenie snipped off because they simply did not belong.
I am a woman. However, because, as you say, "fate played a cruel trick," I was born with boy plumbing. Getting rid of those ugly appendages is just common sense.
Now, that's a simple and straightforward answer!
Love,
Kelly

....it's a real neat way to meet chicks! So what if they are a little strange. Isn't that why we're here?

Re: Tell me: why are *YOU* into castration?
Sorry, I cannot claim any of the standard reasons. I was never abused (sexually) as a child, never thought of myself as a female trapped in a male body, never hated my genitals. I DID castrate pigs when I was 12 or so but I cannot honestly say that those actions had any lasting influence on me.
I was emgulfed in a great deal of sexual confusion most of my life... I got married before I had figured out that I was gay, I had a libido for just about any receptacle male or female that was hundreds of times greater than my wife's, but before I figured it all out I was a married man with children. Maybe that's where it came from.
Alls I know for sure was about 10 years ago, I knew... KNEW that I had to become a eunuch! For several years that thought was there, but more or less dormant because I knew there was no chance. Then I learned about alt.eunuchs.questions, and I discovered to my total surprise that I was not alone! After that the odd vague feeling that I would be better off castrated grew and flourished until I heard of Dr. Spector and visited him on April 5, 1997. I have never regretted it! In fact, my only regret is that I didn't do it 10 years sooner.
My wife will tell you that I had my nuts cut off because of the incredible pains I was suffering, and she would be right. the pains started in 1995, and a year later it felt as if my balls were in someones hands and being squeezed all the time! To this day I cannot explain those pains, but a large part of me believes that God had provided me with a reason that my wife would buy for my castration.
To be perfectly honest, I think I would be happier as a sexually active man. I could deal with either a man or a woman, but since I am married (38 years last September) I am committed to a woman, and that sort of dictates my sexual orientation. But there was still that incredibe difference in our libidos. My libido now matches hers: ZERO. That doesn't mean that I don't think of sex, fantasize, dream... but that incredible driving urge that says I have GOT to get off, RIGHT NOW, is gone. And in my situation, my stage of life, GOOD RIDDANCE!

Re: Tell me: why are *YOU* into castration?
I have often pondered my infatuation with becoming a eunuch and that is one of the main reasons I keep coming to this site and several other clubs (I even have my own club http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/women92sca ... consortium). This question has been asked a couple of years ago on this site and more recently on my club. We got a list of about 15 reasons and it varies greatly between individuals.
Here they are - in no particular order of importance:
1. Lower risk of prostate cancer.
2. Lower risk of hyper tension and hardening of arteries - longer life span in general.
3. Wifes sex drive is much lower; castration of husband would make for more harmonious marriage.
4. Perception that relationship with partner would become more intimate if man were castrated.
5. As a symbol and token of total trust in his partner. Giving partner control over HRT is important.
6. Male guilt. Man perceives that women in general have suffered historically at the hands of male-dominated culture.
7. Specific personal guilt. Something individual has done that warrants castration as a means of atonement.
8. Avoidance of military service.
9. Avoidance of male responsibilities or pressure to be macho.
10. Foolproof birth control.
11. Retaining youthful soprano singing voice (castrati).
12. Cosmetic affect. Just likes the look.
13. As a transitional stage in sexual reassignment surgery.
14. Fulfillment of a long-held wish or desire.
15. A reaction to feelings of sexual inadequacy - needing to feel accepted as less than a man.
Im sure this list will grow in the future.
One thing for sure, this phenomenon affects a lot more men than I would ever have believed before the advent of the internet. At one time I thought it was unique to me alone. I now believe it deserves its own branch of psychology. I think what we are really looking for is the psychological mechanism involved in developing the fetish or the wish.
Farrell
PS: My own reasons are 4, 5, 6, 15, 9, & 12 (in order of importance). It seems to me that reason 14 is a result of other reasons and depends on how long youve had the desire.
Reasons 1, 2, & 10 are excuses I would give to my urologist once Ive found a suitable partner.

Re: Tell me: why are *YOU* into castration?
Everyone will have their own reason and personal reponse to that very direct question.
There is a large element of fantasy and mysticism about the subject and most members and regular visitors (who ought to register, its well worth it) come here for news, escapism, information and 'infotainment'.
Some guys like me are having problems such as impotency caused through lower back injuries and find that some of the boards and discussions on this site give the tiniest movement
towards erection - it may sound strange but its true.
Many of the stories speak of our lives before testosterone raised tensions and issues in our lives, to times when decisions were simple and easy; its like 'pubic shaving' which is a pleasure. To feel smoothness is great and whilst it highlights your 'equipment'
maybe the result, smoothness, takes us back to a time of
'sexual innocence'. Whilst men with dark thick bushes above their
cocks can look sexy, I doubt whether any male or female are greatly turned on by hairy balls!
The subject is vast and I joined this site following thought approaches rather like 'coming out'. I have no immediate future
personal agenda but I am aware, that amongst other options
I may require a prostatectomy or other 'surgery' on medical grounds. So maybe turning 'an issue' into 'an interest' is
a good way of coping. The issue of pain comes up too and how to deal with that - some contributors enjoy it, I for one, would look at pain-free but conscious and comfortable 'modification'.
It would be good to read other people's replies to the question, but answering it, is a very personal choice. Its a good question and I can't 'completely honestly' reply to it, but the answer is that this site offers huge useful potential and is pretty sexy too!
