Androcur and Anxiety

Post by Meow (imported) »

Just wanted to hear from some of you folks taking Androcur:

I have an stress-based anxiety disorder - which leaves me with chest pain practically all the time that has no medical basis. I started taking Androcur in hopes that maybe the anxiety would drop because I was doing something about my hormone levels (I'm 27, experiencing a rather unpleasant late 2nd puberty, and being trans - I'm not totally in tune with being in a male body). After a week at 50mg/day, my chest pain skyrocked to the point that I could barely do much of anything because it hurt terribly. Lowering the dose seemed to help a lot but it's still there. I'm not totally sure if this is the illusion of shallow breath that some people experience in combination with my own stuff or if it's something else. Anybody have any advice before I go to the doc?

Thanks.

I wonder if just starting Androcur can be stressful. I know I shook for awhile after my first shot of DP and was anxious before and after each dose for a few months. Plus, any change to the body can be stressful. Regardless, I would see a doctor. Stress is not something to take lightly. Been there.

Meow, one of the side effects of androcur is a MILD feeling of breathlessness, like walking up a short flight of stairs. In combination with your other issues, My advice to you is GET TO A DOC IMMEDIATELY.

Meow; a quick search did not show anything like your symptoms associated with Androcur. I second the advice GET TO A DOCTOR! --FLO--
