Chemical Castration,Trying Hard, But????
I know this has probably been adressed somewhere here before,so, forgive me in advance, if it has.
I've been participating in chemical castration (Androcur and Spirolactone), now for several months and seemed to be getting pretty near all the results that I should have, reduced labido(not quit zero as I'd like to have) along with reduction of semen to just a couple of clear drops or so at ejaculation, softer skin and hair, some breast growth, some hot flashes, etc, etc.
My problem is that now this all seems to be slowly reversing and I seem to be regaining my need for sex all the time, etc, etc. Has anyone here had this problem also, or is it just my screwed up system? I was really begining to make progress and was just really enjoying the feelings of not being horny all the time and then this happened and I'll tell you it's quit a let down!!
Anyway, if someone here has experienced this situation, how did you combat it?? Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
malenomore,(wannabe)

I would stick with the androcur and forget the spiro. If your cock stays limp you need to direct your thoughts to a special alternative...e.g. football, movies. If you are getting uninvited hard-ons, you probably need more antiandrogens. Just my thoughts.

What's your Androcur dosage? I'd try to stick with one drug at a time. Also, just like quitting smoking using the patch or gum, you need some behavior modification as well. Do you still visit porn sites and other things that you find sexually stimulating? If you do, try to avoid them. And if you get really horny regardless, masturbation or actual sex with someone is not a bad thing; you may find you enjoy it more and need it less often if it's not an urgent need.

I just take 50mg a day. Since this makes me feel castrated I don't have an interest in sexually stimulating activities.

Re: Chemical Castration,Trying Hard, But????
I have been taking Androcur for nearly a year. For the first 6 months, I used Androcur alone, but tried different dosages, from 25 mg to 200 mg/day. While the effects varied and progressed to zero ejeculate, I was never completely free of libido, and I still could get an erection though with difficulty.
Then I read a post here about tamoxifin, an anti-estrogen pill. Its primary effects are to prevent oesteoporosis of the bones and breast development for prostate cancer patients taking high doses of androcur. It is also used by bodybuilders who took steriods to avoid breast development. One common "complaint" was to loss of libido.
I tried that and in one week had significantly lowered desires. My erections, even with stimulation, were completely gone.
I decided to wean myself off of both pills one month ago (after being on Tamoxifen for just over 1 month) because I was not ready for such a complete lack of sex interest, sexual functions. The calm was great. But perhaps it was too much for me.
About a week ago, my nocturnal erections, just started coming back, although it remained very weak. I started paying slightly more sexual attention to attractive people again. But I still had no interest in sexual contacts and definitely no interest in sexual "release" yet.

Sorry I haven't gotten back here to thank all of you ,but, have been really busy and my other computer crashed also. To answer some of the questions, I first started out on androcur at 25mg twice a day, and it was slowly taking effect, but, on the advice of a member of another board, went to the spiro along with an estrogen to grow some boobs. I've since quit the estrogens as the boobs were getting out of hand and have just continued with the spiro.(Boobs are still growing, but, not as fast). I'm now planning to go back with the androcur as I think it was doing a better job curtailing the labido and erections.

Malenomore, If you do not wish to develop boobs, then maybe try adding a low dose of tamoxifen. It is often prescribed to prostate cancer patients on Androcur to prevent feminization. It is an antiestrogen, to reduce the effects of estrogen on such things as boob development. It is also very effective in reducing male libido. Search other posts on Tamoxifen in this forum for more info. If you just want to be a chemical eunuch without feminization, this is the way to go.

How much %mg of Tamoxifen do you need as low dosage? 10mg daily?
As i have small breast grow, and i do not like it at all.
what is the increase risk of blood clots? as using androcur also increase the risks, i don't to increase the risk much more.

Yes, but the problem is that you need to inject that with needles. If someone would do it for me, i wouldn't have a big problem with it..but self injection..creeps me out.
