Christmas Gift to Archive Readers
Christmas Gift to Archive Readers
We have planned a rather special holiday story surprise for devoted Readers of the Archive, be you str8, gay, or bi ... or otherwise. This topic came up around the dinner table the other night, and by the time we were done brainstorming, we were all convulsed with Mirth over our ideas! We're working on it, and will definitely have it up by Christmas!

PS - it's not the Grinch, either.

But I like the Grinch, and Scrooge.

Sorry, no Grinch, no Scrooge.
Just out of curiosity, of all the different films of A Christmas Carol, what actor is the best Scrooge to you?:D

for me, it's a toss up between alistair sim and patrick stewart -- both of them did such a great job with the character and really seemed to understand scrooge.

Sir Anthony Hopkins.
I believe that he was in the Muppet's Christmas Carol, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I vote for George C. Scott. A close second is the original "Scrooge" in the black and white movie from the 30's or 40's. A distant 3rd is Bill Murray in "Scrooged"

Of course!! Michael Caine! That's who I was thinking of. Anyone who can pull off a good embodiment of Scrooge while surrounded by Muppets is doing a damn fine job.
I wonder why I confused Michael Caine and Sir Anthony Hopkins? Maybe I've lost my mind!
