As for myself...shaving away the hair is one way to feel my manhood is being stripped...the lack of body hair is not generally what one considers manly...though i tend to use Nair or similar for the body, and shave the pubic area...oddly...though i like to keep myself hairless..i actually prefer a woman to have pubic hair...maybe because it means she's got more manly characteristics than i do....or maybe it's because two women who i really enjoyed had rather furry bushes...and it's a nice memory.

I've just read the entire thread and want to reply on all three aspects, each of which have erotic effect on me.
I've always preferred trimmed or preferrably shaved pussies on women and persuaded my wife of long-past years to shave hers after a couple years of trimming it. She shaved for 5 years then reverted to a close trim, both of which her lovers enjoyed as well. That was in the 1970s. Late in that period I needed hernia surgery and shaved myself the day before, surprising my wife and cheating the gruff old nurse who came in to shave me. I was circumcised at birth as was customary here, but developed curiosity and then fascination with intactness during youth, having a foreskin fetish in adult years. 20 years ago I began stretching out a facsimile foreskin and after several interruptions over ten years have nice coverage that closes over the glans when fully flaccid and covers most of it while a bit plumper and longer. As for castration, this in fantasy terms has been erotic since midlife and still is. But recently I've learned that absence of testosterone has health and pleasure-in-life repercussions that I don't want. My T levels dropped from 400 to a hypogonadic 210 at 6 mo after prostate radiation and I wish it hadn't, although I'm functioning sexually and athletically at a reduced but manageable level. There's a small chance that I will have to eliminate T from my body for medical reasons in the future, and a simple way is by castration, which afterward wouldn't have erotic value due to libido-killing lack of T. I've been in correspondence with a married man who was voluntarily castrated by his wife in an erotic scene and variously takes T or E, according to how he wants to look and function. They both are bi and swingers. They know many men in those circles who let themselves be castrated and take T supplements; they are fully accepted. For them, being castrated appears to be a mod that has considerable appeal and minimal disadvantage. But I'm not in their circumstances, either medically or in lifestyle, so castration beyond fantasy I don’t wish for.
Forgive me if these thoughts aren't very organized.
I first thought about having my body hair removed and having my genitals removed at around the same time (the beginning of puberty). I've always had some association between the two based on thoughts like this. For me, this doesn't reflect a desire to return to a prepubescent state any more than anybody wishing to become a eunuch (without significant HRT) wishes to return to more of a prepubescent hormonal state. The desire to have parts removed that were there from birth provides additional support to this, in my opinion.
Pubic hair removal can be interpreted in several ways, but I think it works best as a signifier of submissiveness or lack of masculinity. I've never shaved when I've been with a woman, though I'd like to present myself to a woman that way. And I'm very turned on when a woman has pubic hair, though I think it is easier to go down on a woman if she trims it a bit.
Circumcision isn't connected to castration for most people (especially in America, where it is so common), but I suppose it is for me. It's a removal of functional genital tissue, so it is somewhat related, though I understand that many men (and women) prefer that look and feel. Having learned more about the foreskin and circumcision, I certainly oppose the routine circumcision of infants, but given my current desire to have more of my male anatomy removed, I don't mind at all that I was circumcised. Though I generally like women, men do appear in my fantasies sometimes, maybe for contrast. I always imagine them as intact, hairy, and muscular.
I have had laser treatments and electrolysis, and the only sure thing to prevent regrowth is electrolysis. I have been fighting my body hair for 10 years, and will probably be fighting it for another 10.
But at least it is alot less. Estrogen has made most of my hair more fine and less black, and the treatments have reduced my facial hair to just around the jawline and the chin.
