Help float the Ark(ive)!

Post by JesusA (imported) »

This is rewritten from another thread where Bboy noted that there have been over 3 MILLION hits on the story board in under ten months. Most regulars on the Archive seem to have read his original post and few have returned to see later replies. Here is my contribution to the celebration. We all need to take action!

3,000,000 hits in 10 months!!! That’s 300,000 hits per month on the story board. If every reader were to contibute just one penny for every story that they read, Bboy would have over $3000 per month to support the Archive. He and Talula couldn’t give up their day jobs for that amount, but there would be no worry about buying the best computer programs to do the job for all of us to enjoy.

If you’re enjoying the Archive, consider sending something to Bboy to help out. Even a couple of dollars stuffed into an envelope and anonymously mailed to him would let him know how much his work is appreciated.

If you’re a regular, maybe you should treat the Archive like you treat your electric bill. Send a little cash the first of every month.

We need that P.O. box & address. I don't have Pay Pal yet. Planning to get it soon. Going to set up an on-line bank account first.

Farrell,

If you do set up Paypal, be aware that you may be able to use it once, but you must activate it before you can use it again.

I made the mistake of setting the account up just before I was due to receive my statement from Visa. To activate the account you have to quote the reference number of a charge which paypal puts onto your account. So I am still waiting. What is annoying is that there is money sitting in the account which was paid to me and which I intend to pass to Bboy but I still cannot touch it.

LOL

😡 😡 😡

PayPal is really a nifty system, but can be frustrating at times. I set up an account way back when for Ebay auctions and after the initial run-around have found it to be pretty nice :-)

Thanks for the info. I'll probably have it set up by the end of the month. I'll give it a few test runs, maybe buy some books or something.

Farrell,

If you buy something from either Yahoo or Ebay auctions and the seller accepts Paypal you can set up the account then and pay them all at once.

As Bboy says, it is really nifty, except that I have been buying (and selling) quite a few items recently on Ebay, but until I can activate the account I can neither use it nor can I access the money paid into it.

If you only receive one statement each month, the best time to set up one account is approximately 1 week before your normal statement date. That way you can minimise the delay before you use it.

Regards,

It's too bad there isn't an affiliate program that eunuch.org could sign up for that sells castrations and pays them a commission. :)
