Hey Jeff,

I like the ring thing and am considering it. Is it possible now that my sac is empty to do a large piercing straight through the sac or will that cause some problems? I don't want a surface piercing. I know that some intact men have a hole sewn into their sacks so that they can wear large rings in them, but once it's empty, is it necessary? Wondering, Hash

I don't have a really informed answer to your question, but I'd be careful. A ring through the entire sac might introduce bacteria into it?

I think what you're describing is a transscrotal piercing? Check the BME site for a few examples. It's secured on the edges so that the interior of the sac is still closed. I've a friend that's offered to do it for me - make the hole through which large rings could be inserted. He says it's much easier to do with an empty sac.

I have also thought about a " ladder" once my scrotum is removed to emphasize my eunuch state... almost an exhibitionist desire I guess..

Well it is done. My right testical was removed at 10:30 this morning. Right now I feel great. I actually feel better right now than I did this morning before the op. I am planning on using testosterone, but I am not going to start if prob for a week. I had a hormone test done 1 week ago and I was @ 246, so I am almost a eunuch before I had the last one removed. I am already having the hot flashes.

I'm glad the sugery went well. If your testosterone was that low you may experience a lot of positive effects from HRT. I know you said you might want to give it a try without hormones for a few months. I suspect it will not feel weird because your going from low to no. If you do try testosterone and get into a healthy level I suspect it will feel pretty good to you. Either way report back. BTW how did the surgery go? How much difficulty did you have talking to your wife and Doctor about doing this?

You were having hotflashes at a level of 246? I've been on HRT and at a level of 238 on the last test. I started having issues about the time of the last test... called my doctor up last week to tell him about my flashes, manic episodes and periodic dry orgasms... his solution? "Stop taking the medication and we'll see if the hot flashes go away..."

F-ing quack. I'm exhibiting the typical symptoms of LOW TESTOSTERONE. Even the literature that comes with my HRT says if this is happening the dose is likely not high enough. I consulted an endrocrinologist who said my level was not high enough.

As soon as I can get to a local endrocrinologist, this doctor is FIRED.

Saw the Dr. for my psot op check up. Everything is doing fine. We did up my dose from 5mg of Androgel to 7.5mg of Androgel. Been having a few hot flashes still, so that is why we uped the dose. So far so good. My pain lever post op is lower that the pain that I had Pre Op. Infact I never even took a pain pill after the surgery. Now to try out this new dose for a while and see how it work. Talk to you all later.

Believe me I know how insane this can make you. Don't give up! I switched to a female family doctor. She is a heck of an improvement over the zeroids I used to see. Always remember that treating males for hormone problems is still very rare. If you can download a copy of the AACE guidelines for hypogonadism send it to your Doctor. Also a copy of the book "The Testosterone Syndrome" is a nice ahh gift.
