The Dissappeared

Post by farharbour (imported) »

One of the more interesting aspects of this group and IAM.BMEZINE is the number of Eunuchs who dissappear shortly after their castration .. " Big Twin, Seanshaved, Nullojames etc.. I guess once the fetish aspect has played out as a real eunuch they loose interest in the community. Or do they have deep regrets or maybe even shame for what they have done and want to remove themselves from further discussion of the topic?

I would be interested in hearing folks comments on the reasons castrated guys drift away from here?

I was a eunuch first and then discovered the Eunuch Archive message boards. It was wonderful to discover a welcoming community. For me the EA was a place to learn, share and make friends. Others may just gather information to reach a goal and then they are gone. Of course as you mention if they are struggling with their decision or are not happy with the changes in themselves they may resent those that are happy.

The depression that hits some so hard after castration has been a concern for those who drop out of contact. Fears of suicide during those deep depressions is mentioned in much information on the EA. We may never know why some drop out.

I've been reading and using this board since 1999, before I became a eunuch and it helped me tremendously, especially in making my decision to become a eunuch. Now that I became a true eunuch, March 2006, I have tried to remain an active member, but sometimes I get a little tired of the same old things. Every week it seems another newbie is trying out an elastrator and wants advice or someone else wants to know what doctor they can go to for the real thing and they want a female, and or someone is going to attempt using the burdizzo. So I've heard most everything and I think that may be one reason that many eunuchs stop posting, it gets old. On the other hand, I do think that the "eunuch calm" can reduce desire, sexual and otherwise, and that may be why some stop posting. Some others might also have gratified their desire by getting castrated and no longer feel compelled to post. Someday I'll probably stop posting too, if and when I lose interest. People's interests change, it's inevitable. Hash

Several of us have been here for many years. Yeah, we've heard just about all of it - 97 times. I stay because this is an important resource for a selct few people who seriously need to be able to get the information they need, just as I needed it. I don't want anyone else to go through the shit-storm I did if I can do anything to prevent it.

Yeah, it gets old, tiring, boring, frustrating, etc. Someday, I may take leave. But in the meantime, this place needs to be here....

Yes, Farharbour I have noticed that members sometimes disappear after their fetish desires are fulfilled. There was one Scotty who was a slave. After his castration he had no pain tolerance - it no longer excited him. He cried all the time but didn't have the strength (balls) to extricate himself from his situation. Then he just disappeared. I think it is a warning to be cautious. If you think you want to be castrated, try reversible chemical castration first, and for a year or more, to make sure that your castration desires are not an element of a sexual fetish that will depart along with your severed testicles.

I miss Andrew from the Postal Service and the Unitarian Church. I enjoyed his observations and reports.

Because we get tired of dealing with the people that are simply here for a wank, that's why.

I supposed it is too much to ask that people stop and post a 'goodbye' before they depart. They probably don't realize that they aren't coming back. They just feel tried with it all at the moment. So a Formal Goodbye is uncomfortable.

But I do hate it when people just disappear from my life. When someone i have been chatting with for months just stopped responding. Or when a Radio DJ just leaves the station and the new host never mentions where the predessor went.

I worry for these people; the world is a dangerous and unforgiving place.

I'd say that the reason for "The Disappeared" is simply that having found out what they needed to know, they don't need the board any more. (Sigh - the fate of all message boards?)

In my case, I am sure that the need for this board would be seriously diminsihed by actually becoming a eunuch, as I'm mostly interested in finding (a) a local doctor, (b) learning about the side effects, and (c) being titillated by many of the stories.

While I'm not into BDSM and CBT, I can speculate that an actual castration would immediately cause someone to lose interest in sexual activity of that nature, and hence a possible lack of interest in this board.

I do wonder if any of "The Disappeared" have gone missing due to suicide resulting from the depression that castration can bring.

I guess we will never know.....
