Hello everyone. I am a 24 year old male currently suffering from hairloss. It started at 20 with recession and got bad this year with thinning also. I was on finasteride (propecia) from 2002 to the end of 2005 with great results.
The all of a sudden I get greasy skin, faster beard growth, high libido - it was as if my body had gone into testosterone overdrive!
I decided to use oral spiro in an effort to combat this as I have heard of a small group of hairloss afflicted guys who have experimented with it for this purpose. I am currently on 200mg a day, along with 640mg of saw palmetto (just started this) and 0.5mg of dutas (dutasteride).
Can anyone share their experience of using spiro? Perhaps someone that noticed an improvement in their hair while on it? Does anyone know what the long-term effects of using this drug are? Perhaps I am wasting my time with it.
Many thanks.
Jamie

Re: Spirotone for hairloss?
I hope you are going through a doctor but it sounds as if you are not. If not you should be.
Check other threads here in the archives there is a lot of information. At 24 you have a long time to live with the consequences of using finasteride, spiro (I suppose you mean spironolactone), saw palmetto and dutasteride.
I highly recommend use a doctor.
