I've been living on beans, eggs and tea for my daily meals for the last week. Finally my check arrived early so I bought a cheeseburger, fries and a diet coke :) Hooray

As poor as I usually am, I did something odd today. As I was eating my cheeseburger, I noticed the cute woman in the next booth. She and her three boys were on the poor side and were having two burritos split four ways. I told them that wasn't enough to eat and handed them a $5.00 bill. I wished I could have given them more but all I had on me was that $5.00 and bus fare.

That $5 shall be returned to you in multiple ways! God is good!

Imagine the wonderful life-long message of sharing with others less fortunate that you shared with those boys

Your heart and soul is certainly in the right condition with gratitude for that which you have yourself. May you be granted many more vlessings!

I have had no heat for a month. My landlord said he was low on funds so he came by and shut off my heat. i just left a message on his phone saying "Monday, I'm calling the city and the health department to complain that I have no heat and that I'm 70 years old."

Hopefully he comes over and turns back on my heat.

🙋

And we don't even have real winters here in California. If I lived in Minnesota I think I'd be dead already.

On the plus side, my my manager called and said he'd turn on my heat again. On the minus side, he said if I called anyone else to complain he would be forced to evict me. He says I use more heat than any other tenant.

It appears it is best not to complain. That is often the case.
