Getting old is no fun. If only you could have the body of a 30 year old and the maturity and responsibility of a 65 years old.

I have decided to invest in a wheelchair. I see most are $300 or less.

I would avoid one for as long as I could. Mobility keeps your body working better. Inactivity will cause your muscles to weaken, will also cause constipation, skin ulcers for sitting in one for too long and other problems. As your muscles weaken you will become dependent on the chair. Keep that body moving and it is tough but try to work through the pain.

I agree, however it's getting to the point I can't even walk to the bus stop, my doctor won't help because she says it's not my psiatic nerve but arithitus.

Pain starts in right hip and goes down to ankle. After walking a block, it hurts worse when I'm waiting for a green light.

Tylenol arthritis will help with the pain.

If it is arthritis again moving is important. Do you take ibuprofen to reduce the inflammation? There are some arthritis medications available. Has your hip deteriorated to the point of needing a joint replacement? It may be time to see an orthopedic surgeon to find out what treatment they might suggest. Sometimes an injection will reduce the pain for an extended period.

The time I spent in a wheel chair a few years ago was difficult at best - very sore arms, legs cramping, damned inconvenience. get along ass best you can without. even if you have to rest more
