Does San Benardino still have police? I though they went broke.

The police finally arrived, about an hour after I called them. By the time they arrived, Jeanette's male friends were heading out the door anyways and, upon seeing the police, they scattered to the four winds.

Since the guys are gone, I'm happy.

The nice police officers told me they are understaffed so it takes them longer to respond. Hey, I'm happy they arrived at all.

Well, This Was Fun -

I awoke about 3:00 am and decided to get in some computer time. The house was dark, but I knew my way to my den. However, my body wasn't expecting to run into a small shopping cart that someone had left in the middle of the living room walkway. Seconds later, my 215 pound frame hit the floor. My glasses flew off, my coke flew out of my hand, my right hand hit and broke the glass of mom's old display case and both knees took the brute force of the rising floor.

Once I turned on a light, I surveyed the damage. A few superficial cuts on my right hand, both knees badly scraped but no broken bones and a angry attitude against the unknown asshole who left a cart for me to trip on - LOL

I'm positive that by tomorrow or Tuesday,my knees and or hand will be really sore.

Life is made up of positives and negatives.

On the positive side, my knees don't hurt, yet.

On the negative side, the city came by and shut off my water, AGAIN.

I wonder if the city is allowed to deny a person water during a heat wave? Silly question,I know.

Chit happens.

Today, an old friend named Debbie called me. She lives in Iowa with her family but was visiting in-laws here. She offered to take me to lunch and I said, "Oh yeah."

She picked me up 30 minutes later and bought me a great Mexican dinner.

I was suprised at how great she looked. Slim figure but great bustline :)

As of early last night, my right knee had almost heeled up and the left one was coming along. Again, last night about 2:30 am, I was walking through a semi-dark dining room when my outside cat decides to cross my exact path. I trip and fall, this time only on one knee, the left one, ouch. I hobbled back to my bedroom and soaked it in alcohol, minor ouch.

Just now, I inserted an old tape in my VCR to entertain myself. As I clicked on my remote to start my movie, I noticed the remote felt lighter. I looked inside to find out Jeanette had stolen my batteries, again. Fortunately, I had two backup AA's locked in my bedroom.

Another fun day in the Cave of the Wolf :)

Finally, this day is starting off good.

I slept in till 11:30 am and it's only 72 degrees :)

Four days till payday and I still have potatoes, bread and four cans of delicious Hormel Chile left :)

Old wolves lead tough lives.

And that's meant in a supportive way
