Well, I had $270 left over this month to cover water, food, electricity and internet and was wondering how I was going to do it. This afternoon, the city shut off my water for non-payment. Now I only worry about electric, internet and food

I just called Edison and made a deal with them to pay $155 a month so, at least, I'll have electricity. First payment is April 2nd.

Last night we had a power outage. It only lasted minutes but the power in my den stayed out so no computer, TV, VCR, etc. I frantically thought of replacing my entention cord, my power cords, etc.

This morning, I noticed the main power cord was unplugged. Duh

You guessed it, technology is far from my strong suit.

Jeanette broke into my room again and ripped me off for $1.50 in quarters. No, she didn't get past my lock. Unfortunately, my bedroom can be entered through two different doors: (1) from the dining room, that's the one with the lock on it (2) and from the middle bathroom, that one I thought I had adequately barricaded. It seems I'll need to lock that one too.

I call the police again and again they said it was a civil, not a legal concern.

I saw my doctor today. She said I looked damn good for a Jurassic era wolf. My weight is down to 211.

I noticed my bedroom had been entered while I was at the doctor's. Since this is the end of the month, nothing worth stealing was left

Since I turned 65, I've noticed a change in the cost of my medications. When I was just on Medi-Cal, my medications were free.

Now that I'm also on Medicare, my medications cost $1.60 each.

Is that bizarre or what?

Well, I'm hoping my check arrives Monday. As of today, Saturday, I have $1.55 left in my checking account. I have rice to eat tonight and if I get hungry tomorrow, I "think" I can get a free meal at Jack-in-the-Box

My doctor mentioned a place in the next town across from the big Loma Linda University Hospital that gives free meals. I'll call them on Monday.
